Overwhelming Evening

Katara's POV

"Jet?", this was a shock, what the hell is he doing here?

"Hi I'm Aang", Aang held out his hand for jet to shake but he simply ignored it. Why did I have a thing for bad boys, I knew it would end in tears and heartbreak but I still gave him my heart, and he stomped on it.

"Cool, uhh K can we talk? In private", Jet looked down at me with a smile then sent a glare over at Aang, well this has ruined my chances of getting closer to Aang tonight.

"I'll leave you guys to it, I'll be waiting at the bar to get you a drink", he smiled sweetly, completely oblivious to how much of an a**hole my ex is.

"I thought we were going to stay in touch? How come you aren't calling me back or replying to my messages?", he questioned me as he took Aangs place beside me, I moved away so we weren't close, I didn't want to talk to him at all, but I keep my manners, unlike some.

"I've been busy lately", I looked back to see Aang at the bar, he smiled at me and waved, as I was about to wave back Jet cupped my cheek and made me face him.

"Are you still upset with me?", Jet looked into my eyes, I'm not sure if he's just guilty and wants forgiveness or he's got ideas to get back in my bed. "It was only a bit of fun", he laughed lightly.

"It wasn't fun for me, you've always been immature and I can't believe I thought you were ready for a relationship", I rolled my eyes and looked to the side, I really don't want to look at him right now, but his hand is still holding my cheek.

"And you've always hated the idea of fun, no wonder I cheated", he frowned, does he realise what he just said??

"I thought you were apologising", I took his hand off my cheek and stood up, seriously screw him, I finished things with him and have the full intention to never breathe the same air as him again. "Goodbye Jet".

"Okay Okay I am apologising", he held onto my arm and pulled me back down, "I'm sorry about what I did, I truly am", Jet looked like he was upset but I've seen this face before and with his comment before he definitely isn't sorry.

"I don't care about that Jet, I've gotten over it all, but what I'll never forget is your lies and how you still continue to lie to me", I shook my head and looked at him, he sat there in silence for once. "I forgive you for sleeping around, but I will never forgive you for lying so much that I don't even know what is the truth anymore", I tried to pull away but he kept holding me back.

"Let me go, Jet just leave me alone", I pulled away and walked out of the club, pushing past people and getting out of the front door taking in a deep breath and leaning against the wall, I'm not crying, I'm not upset. I'm furious with him.

"You left in a bit of a hurry back there", Suki seemed to have followed me out of the club, she approached me whilst counting money. "Something the matter girl?", she stood in front of me.

"I'm fine, what's with the money?", I pointed at the notes in her hands, changing the subject but I'm also genuinely interested.

"Oh your brother and the little one are both slumped over the bar, so I'm one hundred bucks richer, just want to make sure I didn't get short changed you know", she smiled putting the money in her pocket. "Oh and I've heard the 'I'm fine' rubbish before, and if I'm right, that creep was your ex wasn't he?", she crossed her arms.

"Yeah, Jet is a nuisance, but really I'm okay, I just needed some fresh air", I nodded and stood up straight looking down at the floor, is this girl psychic or something, how did she know Jet was my ex?

"Okay, well you can talk to me whenever you want about anything, I'm a pretty good listener", she held her hand out for me to take.

"Thanks, I'll think about it", I took her hand and walked back inside with her, Jet seemed to have wondered off somewhere, which is great, now I can get back to enjoying my night. Though my flat mates were both out of it on the bar. "Hey Suki, can you give me a hand with these two", I smiled at her.
