ATLA: Bonds Within Bending

KATARA!!

Katara's POV

We've been walking past bars and clubs for what felt like hours, everywhere had lines upon lines of people waiting to get in, Toph groaned and stopped behind yet another line of people.

"That's it I'm fed up of walking, we're waiting here", she huffed, she has a pretty short fuse, definitely not the kind of girl to wait around for anything.

I looked down the line to see how far we were from the door, I hope it won't take too long. Although I asked Toph if she wanted to go out I seriously regret it, I wish I was in Aang's flat right now, in his bed, with him, not sleeping.

I blushed and took a deep breath, I'm not that desperate, or maybe I am, whatever. All I know is that I should've stayed and talked it out with him, where we stand if we're roommates, friends or friends who casually flirt or friends who are too scared of commitment to announce they are a couple, or maybe he just hates labels, or maybe he's obsessed with me and has been waiting for the right moment to ask me out!?

"Uh Katara?", I heard Toph's voice and snapped myself out of those crazy questions, noticing that she's at the front of the line, "you've been stood like that for ages? Are you okay?".

I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear trying not to seem embarrassed and walked over to her, "sorry I was lost in thought", I bit my lip, I could leave now and go talk to Aang while I still have the chance, Toph will understand right?

"Okay? Well get your hand stamped and let's get in this place! Whoop Whoop!", Toph cheered as she marched inside the double doors.

Aang will have to wait, I have no one to blame but myself, but how am I going to control these thoughts tonight?

Sokka's POV

God dammit I seriously regret this whole thing, these two are the worst players I've ever seen, Zuko is extremely competitive whilst Aang doesn't even try to play by the rules.

"Go fish!", Aang beamed and stood up proudly with his hands on the table.

"We're playing UNO!!", Zuko also stood up and slammed both his hands on the table, glaring at Aang with one eye twitching with rage.

Aang chuckled and picked up a card from table showing it to Zuko, "oh yeah? How about now? Uno reverse!", he held it up to Zuko's face, only making him more mad.

I watched Zuko yell and get even angrier whilst Aang seemed like he was having the best night of his life.

"QUIET!!!", I shouted also standing up with them to shut them both up, "look, Zuko you need to take things less seriously and Aang you need to take things more seriously, we all want to have fun here right? Let's help each other out and maybe we will enjoy it", I sighed sitting back down.

They both looked at eachother agreeing without speaking and both sat down, "so what did you want to play next Sokka?", Aang smiled resting his elbows on the table.

Zuko smiled with him which was a weird sight but it was nice, he needs to smile a lot more because he looks so gentle and kind when he smiles, but because he doesn't he looks constantly on the edge of a tantrum.

"We can all pick", I looked at them both happily, hopefully things will now go smoothly.

We quickly chose a game and began to play, but Aang suddenly froze deep in thought, when it came to his turn he didn't even react, I waved my hand in front of his eyeline to snap him out of it, "uhh Earth to Aang, you okay buddy?", I asked raising a brow.

"Yeah yeah good", he shook his head and took a deep breath then continued to think and stayed silent, Zuko and I looked at eachother then back at him.
