Aang's POV
My first water bending lesson went pretty well, I didn't expect water to be so slippery, actually now that I say it in my head of course it's slippery.
"Focus more on your wrist movements", Katara stepped closer, moving my wrists with her hands, she's cute when she concentrates.
"Like this?", I asked whilst repeating the move, directing it at a glass of water on the kitchen table, I moved my hands up quickly making the glass fall and smash. "Crap", I sighed and dropped my shoulders.
"It's okay, I'll get some plastic cups tomorrow for the next lesson", Katara smiled and bended the water off the floor and into sink carefully, then grabbed the dustpan and brush that was already filled with broken glass from the other glasses I accidentally obliterated.
"It's no use, I'm too rough", I huffed, walking over to help her, squatting down to pick up glass beside her.
"That's alright, sometimes roughness can be a good thing", she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, avoiding eye contact with me, I watched her for a moment, not in a creepy way, just an admiring way.
"Thank you", I kept my eyes on her, "you didn't have to do this, you know that right?", I asked, she stopped and turned to face me.
"I know, I wanted to", she smiled softly and looked into my eyes, I felt my heart beat faster, "plus it means we can spend more time together", she continued picking up the glass whilst looking at me, then she flinched, "ah!", she bit her lip and looked at her hand, holding it with her other.
"Woah you okay?", I frowned also examining her hand, seeing a piece stuck into the palm of her hand, "ouch", I cringed and helped her up, I watched her walk over to sink and begin to slowly take it out, I couldn't watch.
I don't know how she can do that? Anything like that goes straight through me, it makes me feel so uncomfortable, although I'm not really great with any kind of injury.
"You big baby", she chuckled pouring some water over it and using her bending to heal it, "there all sorted", she held it out to show me with a grin on her face.
"I'm no baby, I'm tougher then you think", I frowned only taking a glimpse at her hand incase she was lying.
"Oh yeah? Go on then mr tough guy, when have you been so tough?", she smirked and crossed her arms standing in front of me.
"Uhh, well I saved you from getting hit by a car didn't I? That's pretty tough", I couldn't think off the top of my head but I still stood my ground. "I haven't seen you do anything as tough as that", I changed the attention back to her.
"So you didn't watch me fight a random earth bender in the subway the other night?", she raised a brow still smirking, damn it that was tough.
"Well, I... I...", I furrowed my brows as I thought, "I'm not tough", I frowned dropping my head in defeat.
"Aw, hey you are tough, I know that you would do any selfless act whatsoever for anyone, plus I think you're the most emotionally stable person I've ever met in my life", Katara stepped forward and cupped my cheek, lifting my head to look at her. "You're tough Aang, just not as tough as me", she winked and turned to put the glass in the trash.
I smiled, feeling my cheeks heat up, I'm lucky she can't see them right now, if I was a dog my tail would be going berserk right now.
I walked over to her and stood behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist and pressing my body into her bag, hugging her tightly from behind, I want to be this close to her forever.
She stood up straight and placed her hands on my arms, slowly stroking her thumbs against my skin, her head turned to the side so she could look at me, we stayed there for a moment, until her eyes dropped to my lips, woah.
