Blind Date // A.I (completed)

Since it was Saturday, I was off work and that meant Cason and I were running errands. I'm supposed to go on a second date with Ashton tonight but we haven't finalized anything.

Cason and I had just a couple of errands today. First, we were going to get his hair cut because it's getting super long and in his face. Plus this will be his first haircut. Then we have to go to the grocery store.

"Ready to go Cas?" I asked walking into the living room to find him watching tv, "Aunt Grace is going to give you a haircut"

"Okay," he giggled and hopped off the couch. I got his shoes on and we got in the car and headed to Grace's salon.

"Aunt Gwace!" Cason happily grinned as we walked in. Grace grinned and dropped down and hugged him as he made it to her. She let go of him and stood,

"So are you going to cry when I cut your son's hair?" she joked,

"Probably" I laughed. Grace rolled her eyes and lifted Cason into the chair and put a towel around his neck,

"How short?" She asked me,

"Just out of his face and not so much on his neck"

She nodded and got to work as I emotionally watched,

"So, you going out with Ashton tonight? I can babysit" Grace asked,

"We haven't like officially planned anything. We've just texted and talked about it" I shrugged,

"Mommy go on date?" Cason asked,

"Yeah, Mommy's gonna go on a date" Grace whispered to him as my phone buzzed. I quickly looked and saw it was from Ashton,

"Speaking of the devil" I laughed,

"Well answer him!" Grace yelled at me, making Cason go into a fit of giggles. I rolled my eyes and opened the text:

Ashton: [ Sorry it took
so long for me to get
back to you. How's dinner
sound? 6:00? ]

[ Sounds perfect! Where at? ]

Ashton: [ Stoney River? ]

[ Perfect. Will meet you there ]

"So, you can still babysit? Like be at my house by five-thirty" I questioned,

"Yeah" Grace laughed and cut the first bit of Cason's hair, putting it in a little baggie for me and wrote 'Cason's first hair cut' on it,

"I get to pway wif Gwace?" Cason's eyes lit up,

"You do buddy" I smiled.

Grace kept going with the haircut but as she was almost finished a guy walked in and Grace muttered a 'shit' under her breath,

"My favorite hairdresser!" The guy smiled,

"Calum, my favorite client" she grinned and that's when it hit me. Calum is Ashton's friend. Cason is with me and I haven't told Ashton I have a kid. I mean, we've only been on one date. I wasn't going to tell him then,

"Not me" Cason pouted at Grace,

"I'm just kidding. You're my favorite. Not Calum" Grace confined, making Cason smile,
