"I've never gone Christmas shopping for a kid before" Ashton chuckled as he parked in a place at the very busy Target. Today he joined me in Santa shopping for Cason while Cason was at Michael and Crystal's hanging out,

"It's fun for sure, especially since he's still little and all that Christmas magic is there" I grinned, unbuckling my seatbelt and hopping out of the vehicle. I met Ashton around the front and he took my hand as we began walking to the entrance,

"Are you taking him to see Santa?" Ashton asked, swinging our hands lightly between us,

"No. First, he's scared to death of those people. Second, I feel weird letting my toddler sit on some random old guy's lap" I shook my head,

"It is strange people willingly let their kids sit on a stranger's lap" Ashton agreed as we walked into the store. I grabbed a cart and put my purse in the seat part and pulled up the list Cason and I put together for him.

Before we started shopping, Ashton got us some Starbucks and sat the cups in the cart's cupholders. Then we headed towards the back to the toy section. Cason doesn't only get toys. I get him other things too, but right now he's at the age where the toys are the important part to him.

"So what are we looking for?" Ashton asked, standing behind me with his arms around me and his hands on the cart,

"He wants a lot of Cars stuff. He really doesn't have much of that" I laughed, "but his big present is going to be a bike with training wheels. He's got a little push bike right now but I think it's time for an upgrade"

"If you want you can leave the bike at my house and I'll bring it over Christmas Eve night" Ashton suggested,

"That would actually be really great" I nodded, "Oh, I'm also telling him we're going to Disney in the Spring too. I'm gonna put his Magic Band in a box"

"He'll be super excited" Ashton chuckled. Little does Ashton know, I'm doing the same thing for him.

I got just about everything I needed then Ashton I headed to where the bikes were. It feels weird buying a bike at Target, but I'm not buying a super expensive one when I know Cason will outgrow it in a year or two.

I looked at a ton of options that were his height, trying to figure out which one he'd like best,

"So it looks to me we have to assemble it" Ashton chuckled as we looked at the boxes,

"Yup. Lucky for you, you get to help" I cheesed. Ashton chuckled and playfully pushed me before hugging me,

"Which one you thinking?" He asked, kissing the top of my head,

"The Spider-Man one" I decided. Ashton grabbed it off the shelf and sat it under the cart.

"Does he need a helmet?" Ashton questioned,

"No. He's got one" I shook my head, "Let's check out then and get these wrapped"

"And done" Ashton proudly grinned as we finished assembling Cason's new bike. We had gone to mine and wrapped everything and hid it then went to Ashton's to do the bike since it would be here until Christmas.

Ashton got up off the floor as I put all the extras and wrapping back in the box. When I looked back up, Ashton was attempting to ride the bike around the living room. I couldn't help but bust out laughing,

"I think I need one" he laughed,

"I'll get you one" I joked. Ashton chuckled and got off, rolling it off to the side.

We still had some time before I was going to pick up Cason, so Ashton and I cuddled up on the couch and turned on a Hallmark movie.

"So what exactly are you and Cason doing for Christmas?" Ashton asked, pulling me a little closer to where I was basically sitting on his lap and facing him,

"Well, we usually go to my parents for Christmas Eve, but obviously that's not happening now. So I guess it'll just be and him" I shrugged.

"My family is coming to town. Would you want to spend it with us? You could come here Christmas Eve and we could come to yours Christmas Day so Cason can play with all his new stuff" Ashton asked,

"I'd like that" I smiled at him.

Ashton grinned and pressed his lips to mine. I instantly kissed back. The kiss heated up quickly as Ashton turned me to straddle his lap. Lately, our kisses have been short and sweet since Cason's typically been with us.

When Ashton pulled away he smiled giddily before pulling me to hug him,

"Should we go get the kiddo?" He asked,

"Yeah. I miss him"

After getting Cason home and we said goodbye to Ashton, I quickly gave him a bath and then took him to his room for bed.

I lifted him up onto his bed and let him settle down under his covers. I handed Cason his Pluto and blankie, watching him cuddle with them immediately,

"Did you have a good day?" I asked, pulling his covers up over him,

"Yeah! I played wif da doggies" he grinned. I couldn't help but laugh,

"So Cas, Mommy has a question for you" I spoke slow, watching him nod for me to go on, "What do you think about spending Christmas with Ashton and his family this year?"

"Yeah!" Cason's face lit up, "I don't wanna go to Gwandma's"

"Do you remember our talk and how we won't be seeing them anymore?" I asked. I had talked to him about it when we got home from the cabin. Cason nodded,

"Well, that means Christmas too" I confirmed,

"Good. I wanna stay wif Ashy" Cason giggled,

"Then that's what we are doing" I laughed, "Now, I think it's time for bed"

Cason nodded and settled in as I stepped up on the bed's latter to kiss him goodnight,

"Goodnight Cason. I love you"
