{ Hannah }

I sat in the car anxiously waiting for my parents to arrive with Cason. We had agreed to meet halfway. I've been here for about thirty minutes and they still haven't arrived. I was still mad that they had taken him to Disney World when I specifically told them not to. I know it sounds silly but Disney is a special place for me and I wanted to share that with my son for his first time.

As I continued to sit and wait, my phone buzzed with a text from Ashton popping up:

Ashton🥰: [ I know youre picking
Cason up today and I
know it may be hard because
of what happened, but good
luck! I'm here if you need anything after ]

My heart swelled at the thoughtfulness but when I saw the car pull up in the parking lot, it deflated.

I got out and walked around the front of my car as my dad unbuckled Cason and my mom walked over,

"Mommy!" Cason ran to me as soon as he was placed on his feet,

"Hi buddy! I've missed you" I hugged him tightly. That was the longest I have ever been from him,

"Miss you most" he mumbled before I pulled back and stood, Cason resting on my hip,

"Thank you for letting him go with us" my mom smiled, making me laugh,

"Well, be glad he did because he won't be going again" I spoke and started to get Cason into the car. Once he was buckled, I grabbed his bag from my dad and put it in the car then shut the door,

"It was just a vacation. Chill out" my dad rolled his eyes,

"I told you all I was taking him to Disney and that I wanted his first trip to be with me. You all said okay and booked another trip. Then, you went behind my back and cancelled that trip and booked the one I told you I did not want Cason going on" I stated, "That's messed up"

I didn't want to fight anymore with Cason around so I left it at that and got in my car and we started to head home,

"Did you have fun Cason?" I asked, pushing my negative feelings away,

"Yeah" he spoke, "But want you go to Disney wif me"

"We will go buddy. I promise"

"Yay!"  Cason cheered, making me chuckle, "We go home now?"

"Yes buddy. We are going home. But at home, I have a surprise for you"

Cason squealed of excitement.

When we got home, I took Cason's hand and led him to his closed bedroom door,

"You ready munchkin?" I asked. Cason began jumping in his spot. I opened his door and let him run in, getting the cutest gasp,

"Oh my goodness!" he beamed as he ran around his new big boy room, "Spida-Man"

"Do you like it?" I asked with a smile. Cason nodded quickly and hugged my legs,

"I wove it!" he told me, "Big boy bed"

I laughed and helped him climb up on his new bed. Now was my time to ask him about meeting Ashton now that I have him all hyped up,

"So my boyfriend, Ashton, helped me with your new room" I told him, "I was wondering if you want to meet Ashton?"

"Yeah! And pway supahewos" Cason smiled. I chuckled and kissed his head,

"How about Sunday for Spaghetti Sunday?" I asked. Sunday is always our spaghetti day. Cason nodded and I grinned,

"I will let Ashton know" I told him,

"Wanna pway?" Cason then asked, running to the bins his toys were now in. I nodded and sat down on the floor. Anytime Cason asks me if I want to play you him, I say yes. He's only little for so long and soon he won't have anything to do with me. So I soak up all the time I can.

Cason dragged a few of his trucks and blocks, scattering them on the floor in front of me,

"Pway trucks fiwst den we pway supahewoes" he explained,

"Let's play trucks then"

{ Ashton }

"Oh fuck" I gasped, reading the text that just came through from Hannah,

"What is it?" Luke questioned. We were all at his place just hanging out,

"I'm meeting my girlfriend's son on Sunday" I breathed out. I knew it was happening this weekend but now that the plan was set, I was freaking out,

"He's a cute kid" Calum added,

"He is. Hannah's shown me pictures. The other night I helped her redo his room and stuff. She told me he was excited to meet me"

"Then why are you nervous?" Michael asked,

"Because what if he doesn't like me" I sighed,

"He will" Luke assured, "Kids love you"

"Bring him a gift or something. Do you know what he likes or maybe ask Hannah what he likes?" Calum suggested,

"He's obsessed with Marvel. I could find him something like that"

"See dude. You'll be fine"

"I sure hope so"
