"So what time are Hannah and her little boy coming over?" my mum questioned as she, my siblings, and I sat around,

"They should be here soon. She texted me like twenty minutes ago telling me they were getting ready" I smiled, feeling giddy to see my girl and her son. I haven't seen them in a few days. We both just been busy.

"Big brother" Lauren laughed, "You are so in love"

I just smiled and looked down. I know I am. Sometimes it's a little scary how fast it happened. I'm not typically one for love, but Hannah is so different. I felt it almost immediately.

It was like Hannah knew we were talking about her because seconds later, I heard my door open and close.

"Ashy!" I heard Cason's voice carry, making me stand to see him running towards me. I immediately knelt down as his small body collided with mine,

"Hey Cas" I grinned, hugging him tight. He pulled away and I stood as Hannah entered. She walked straight to me and buried her face in my chest,

"You okay?" I asked, kissing her head and making her look at me,

"My parents called me" she sighed, "I shouldn't have answered but I did. They basically told me that I was an awful mother and that keeping their grandson from them is a horrible thing to do. They also said since I'm an awful mom I should ship Cas off to his deadbeat dad- who in their words can do a better job than me"

My heart plummeted for her,

"Baby, that's not okay" I told her,

"I know and I'll take care of it another day. But today is Christmas Eve and Cas is excited. I'm not ruining that"

I nodded and kissed her lips, deciding to change the subject,

"Merry Christmas Eve"

Hannah giggled,

"Merry Christmas Eve Ash. You wanna introduce me now"

I nodded and took her hand and the bag of presents she came in with. We headed towards the living room where Cason was sitting on my couch, as far away from my mum as possible,

"Who dat?" he asked, getting up and running straight to Hannah who picked him up, kissing his cheek as well,

"This is my mom, my brother and my sister" I told him. He nodded but clung to Hannah,

"Hi. I'm Anne" my mum stood and introduced herself to Hannah,

"It's so nice to meet you" Hannah grinned, hugging her on the side Cason wasn't on, "And this little guy is Cason"

"Well hello Cason. It's so nice to meet you" my mum tried. Cason did giggle though and allowed Hannah to put him down.

"And the two anti-socials are my brother Harry, and my sister Lauren" I stepped in. Both Harry and Lauren waved to Hannah then we were all quickly distracted by Cason trying to sneak peaks of the presents under the tree,

"Hey you little stinker" I laughed, rushing over and picking him up and tickling him. He giggled and giggled.

Once he was done, I put him down as Harry approached him with a couple cars Cason had left lying around my house,

"Do you wanna play?" Harry asked. Cason nodded and plopped down with him and Lauren, allowing me to go find my mum and girlfriend who had seemed to disappear.

I found the two on my back balcony, just chatting away. I took a seat by Hannah and let my arm fall behind her,

"Whatcha guys talking about?" I asked,

"Everything" my mum laughed, "Just getting to know her"

I nodded and sat back and listened. They were talking about everything, but they were getting along and I was happy about that.

"When Ash told me you were a single mom, I will admit I was a bit nervous. But you're amazing. I know he loves you and I can tell you love him" my mum grinned, "And Hannah, if ever need anything or anyone to talk to about anything or just about navigating how to talk to Cason about things, please give me a call"

"I will. Thank you" Hannah grinned,

"Alright, now I'm gonna go see that cute little boy" my mum got up and headed inside.

As soon as my mum was inside, Hannah was looking at me,

"Your mom is so sweet" she gushed, hugging my torso,

"She'd be a really good person to ask about how to approach the dad topic with Cason. I mean, she had to do it with three kids. I was about Cas's age when she had to talk to me" I told her. I don't want to force her to do anything, but I know she's been struggling especially since Cason is now asking dad questions,

"I am actually gonna talk to her about that. Maybe tomorrow" Hannah shrugged.

We had a nice dinner then Cason wanted to open his presents that were here. Harry passed out all the gifts then we let Cason start ripping his open. Cason had a ton because my mom spoiled him.

Hannah was sitting next to me, taking pictures of Cason as she relaxed in my side.

Cason was ripping all the paper off his presents and throwing it toward Harry who had a trash bag. Cason was getting a lot and it is only Christmas Eve- luckily my mom didn't get him anything that Santa got him.

Cason got to his last present which is one of the final ones I got him. I had got him some stuff to play with outside, but I think he's gonna like this one best. As he ripped the paper, Hannah laughed next to me,

"Did your mom wrap that? Because I know you didn't"

I pretended to be offended but she was right. I wrap like a child,

"You know I can't wrap" I laughed,

"Trust me, I know"

I laughed and kissed her head before we watched Cason get the rest of the paper off. As soon as he saw what it was, his mouth dropped,

"Wadiator Spwings!" he jumped up. I smiled, knowing I did good. I found a whole Radiator Springs set online. I ordered it immediately,

"Oh my goodness dude" Hannah lit up, showing excitement for Cason, "What do you say?"

"Tank you Ashy" he ran to me, jumping on my lap and hugging me, "Pway now!"

I laughed and got down on the floor with him. Harry grabbed me a knife and I began to open it as he opened some of Cason's other things,

"Don't get too much out Cas. We got to go home soon so Santa will come" Hannah warned. Cason just ignored her.

I followed Hannah home with Cason's bike in my car. While she got Cason put to bed, I started grabbing his presents from her hiding spot to help out.

Hannah came around the corner and grinned,

"You're the best" she spoke, pressing a long kiss to my lips,

"Anything for you" I smiled. She nodded and hugged my waist, her head against my chest,

"What time do you want us over tomorrow?" I asked, just keeping her in my arms,

"Doesn't matter. Cas will be up early opening presents anyway" Hannah shrugged,

"How about you just let me know" I laughed. She nodded which was followed by a yawn,

"I'll go. Get some sleep before he gets up" I smiled, "I love you"

"I love you too"
