{ Ashton }

I walked into the studio in a really good mood. Since meeting Hannah and going on two dates, my whole mood has lifted. She's amazing and we text all the time now. Then finding out that she's a mom somehow made my feelings even stronger,

"Look at Ashton all smiley" Michael grinned,

"It's cause he's got a new girly friend" Calum teased,

"She's not my girlfriend yet" I rolled my eyes, "We've been on two dates"

"Oh yeah? And how have those two dates gone?" Luke asked next,

"Perfect. Literally amazing" I exhaled, "I learned on our last date that she has a three-year-old son"

Both Michael and Luke's eyes widened but not Calum's, telling me he knew,

"Did you know the whole time?" I questioned,

"No, I didn't find out until the day you did. I went to the hair place and she was in there with her son. Her son was getting a haircut"

I nodded,

"That doesn't scare you?" Luke asked,

"No. Not at all. It makes me realize how strong she is. She's a single mom. His dad's not in the picture. I watched my mom go through what she is. I know she's strong and determined"

Most guys would run when finding out the girl you're seeing is a mom. Not me. As I said, I know what she's going through because I watched my mom go through it. I know how hard it is for a single mom, or any single parent at that matter, to get back into the dating game. I'm glad Hannah chose me because my feelings for her are already there,

"When you two going out again?" Michael asked once I finally got the chance to sit down,

"Friday night or Saturday night. It depends on when she can get a babysitter" I shrugged, grabbing my notebook from my backpack finally, "Are we gonna write some songs or just talk about my love life"

{ Hannah }

"How did Ashton take the kid news?" Grace asked as we sat on my couch watching The Amazing Spider-Man with Cason who was sitting on my lap cuddled with his baby blanket,

"Pretty good actually. It didn't phase him at all" I smiled, "He told me his mom was a single mom and that she was dating when he was Cason's age. He understands"

"I told you it would be fine" Grace laughed, "When are you going to let them meet?"

"Maybe after a few more dates. I can't keep them away from each other for long. Ashton's already excited to meet Cas and Cason seems to want to meet him" I shrugged,

"Yeah?" Grace spoke then looked at Cason, "Cas, do you want to meet Mommy's boyfriend"

"Yeah!" Cason's eyes widened, "And he pway supa-hewos wif us"

I laughed at his excitement. I was nervous for Ashton to meet Cason, seeing as we haven't known each other that long, but I think they'll both get along. Ashton seems like he's good with kids and he's shown excitement towards Cason already. When he texted me this morning, he had asked me how Cason was and everything. Plus Ashton's very understanding when it comes to knowing how it is to be a single mom. He knows that my main focus is Cason and that Cason comes first. I think it's working so good is because he was a child of a single mother and has seen what she went through,

"From the way both you and Calum talk about Ashton, it seems like he's a pretty great guy" Grace smiled,

"He is" I nodded, "So when you and Calum gonna get together?"

"Oh dear god," Grace rolled her eyes,

"Oh come on" I tossed my hands up, "He so likes you. I could so see it when I met him at the hair salon"

"No he doesn't" Grace rolled her eyes,

"Yes he do" Cason piped in, making me stifle a laugh,

"See even the three-year-old knows" I sassed,

"He's definitely cute and my favorite customer, besides Cas of course, but Calum's gotta make the move first"

"Me and Ashton can work on that" I winked,

"Oh no"
