I heard the knock on my door and my heart sped up a little. I knew it was Ashton because he volunteered to help me redo Cason's room, even though he's never met him. I took a breath and walked over to the door and opened it, finding the smiley, hazel eyed guy standing there,

"Hey! Good morning! I brought coffee and breakfast bagels" he grinned as I stepped aside to let him inside,

"Good morning" I smiled, "And thank you"

"Of course" he giggled, taking his shoes off by the door then pecking my lips. This whole boyfriend thing was still a little weird to me. I mean, it's been three years since I've been in a relationship.

"You don't have to help me today, but I'm glad you are" I told Ashton as we sat at my kitchen table,

"Nah. I wanted to. Plus, I wanted to see you again" he grinned, making my face slightly red, "So where did Cason go?"

"He went on vacation with my parents. They went to Key West in Florida" I shrugged. Ashton nodded but left it at that.

We finished up the breakfast he brought and then headed to Cason's room. I was slightly embarrassed at how small it and the house were compared to the size of his, but it was a comfortable size for Cason and I.

"So, I'm gathering that he's getting a Spider-Man room" Ashton laughed as he saw the shopping bags with the Spider-Man room decor,

"He's quite obsessed" I chuckled, "So, I'm wanting to just start with his bed"

Ashton nodded and pulled a pocket knife out and opened the box up. We had to put the whole thing together. I knew it would be difficult. Once we had all the pieces out, we flipped the box to also look at the picture along with the directions,

"All he requested was a lifted bed" I told Ashton,

"I always wanted one when I was little" Ashton laughed, "I'm kinda excited for this"

We started building the bed, working together pretty well. We got the bottom part together pretty fast, but then we reached the actual bed part,

"Hold this up" Ashton spoke, holding the side rail. I grabbed it and held it even as he screwed it into the post. Once we got the other side up, we got the slabs put in then got the mattress laid on.

"So my plan is to put his dresser under here then put his bookshelf with the cubbies by the window" I told Ashton. He nodded and we went and grabbed the dresser from the hallway and carried it in.

Once the room was done, I got Cason's toys put away while Ashton got distracted with the ones I hadn't gotten to yet,

"Oh my god! Is this an Iron Man mask" I heard him gasp, making me turn to him. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw he had the mask on,

"He's got a Spider-Man one too" I told him and grabbed it off the floor next to me, tossing it to the oversized child,

"This is pretty cool" he grinned, changing masks,

"He's all into Marvel and Spider-Man. He got some stuff for his birthday but Christmas is where he's getting basically everything else. I've already gotten a lot of it"

"So has he seen Spider-Man?" Ashton questioned, taking the mask off his head,

"He has. He's seen all the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield ones, and he's seen the Tom Holland one. He's excited for the second one to come out next year"
