Hannah had to work today which left me with Cason all day. Since I'm with him all day, we're going to look at engagement rings and get some lunch with the boys.

Cason stumbled out of my room around 10:00. He had a hard time going to sleep last night. I ended up staying up with him since Hannah needed to go to work today. I think we got into bed around 1:00.

"Good morning buddy" I smiled as he walked towards me, dragging his baby blanket and Pluto behind him,

"Hi Daddy" he whispered, leaning into my legs,

"You want some breakfast or just a little snack?" I asked,

"Snack"

I nodded and lifted him to my hip. I gave him his sippy cup from the fridge and then moved to the pantry. He ended up just wanting a granola bar so that's what I gave him.

Once he had what he wanted, I got him set up on the couch with some tv. With him content, that let me go get ready.

I headed into my bathroom and tossed on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt then brushed my teeth. Once I knew I was ready, I walked across the hall to Cason's room, opening up his drawers. I grabbed a pull-up, a pair of black Nike shorts, and a grey Jake and the Neverland Pirates shirt,

"Cas Cas! Come get ready" I called. It took a minute but he finally walked in,

"What we doing?" he asked, walking towards me so I could help him get dressed,

"We're getting Mommy's ring so I can ask her to marry me and then we're getting tacos with Luke, Mikey, and Cal"

Cason nodded and lifted his arms so I could change his shirt,

"Mommy's ring gonna be pretty," he told me with a little smile,

"It will be" I nodded and helped him change his pants then got socks and shoes on him, "Ready bud?"

Cason nodded and grabbed his stuffed Pluto, then we headed out to the car. I quickly got him buckled and situated then got in the driver's seat and headed to the store I was going to buy the ring.

We got to the store and I helped Cason out and took his hand. Pluto of course had to come inside with us. He's taken it everywhere since we started going back out after he was taken.

We walked inside and were greeted by a salesperson right away, making Cason cower into my side,

"What can I help you all with?" the lady asked as I picked Cason up and settled him on my hip,

"An engagement ring" I smiled. The lady nodded and guided us to a display full of gorgeous rings,

"Take your time and let me know if you have any questions" she spoke and left Cason and me,

"Let me know if you see one Mommy would like," I told Cason who nodded. I know she wants a circular ring- at least that's what Grace told me. I looked over them and my eyes settled on one,

"Cas Cas, what about this one?" I asked and pointed to it. He looked and instantly smiled and gave me a nod. I knew he wouldn't talk because there were people around and we still haven't recovered fully.

I got the lady to come over and she pulled out the beautiful ring in Hannah's size and got it boxed for me. Once that was done, she took me to the register where I paid the hefty amount.

When we were done, we headed back to the car and I got Cason buckled up,

"Will you help me when I ask Mommy to marry me?" I asked him,

"Yeah" he grinned, "Mommy's gonna say yes"

I smiled and kissed his head then got into the driver's seat,

"Ready for some lunch?" I turned to glance at him. Cason nodded with a big smile,

"We'll get Mommy some food and take it home. She should be home when we get home"

I pulled into the garage, and as guessed, Hannah was home. I turned the car off and then looked back at Cason,

"Remember, Mommy's ring is a surprise so we can't tell her"

"I know," he told me and then pulled on his carseat buckled, informing me that he wanted out. I chuckled and got out, walking to the back door and helping him.

We went inside and Cason took off to find his mom and I went and hid the ring then carried the box of food to the living room where Hannah was folding laundry while Cason told her about eating with the boys,

"And we brought you some food" I smiled, setting the box on the coffee table,

"Thank you" Hannah smiled, forgetting about laundry and eating instead,

"Mommy play wif me?" Cason asked, wanting to be with his mom since he hadn't seen her all day. Hannah hesitated and looked at the pile of laundry,

"I got the laundry. Go hang out with Cason" I told her. She smiled and stood, pecking my lips before taking her food and following Cason.

I began grabbing clothes and folding them, putting them in their different piles. I couldn't help but take a second and just grin. Life is feeling exactly how I've always wanted. I got my girl and I have an amazing kid- maybe not biologically but he's still mine.

Everything was perfect.
