Request from @sessa23 on Tumblr. The reader hides the white oak stakes so Klaus has to wait for the vervain to be out of her blood. Feisty reader, Klaus smirking.

"I'm sorry to do this to you, love. But you're helping the Save Elena gang." Klaus spoke in front of me as I'm sitting in the basement of his house. My vervain necklace lazily hanging from his freehand slightly burning him but it doesn't hurt him as much since he's the hybrid. Stronger than any vampire and wolf. Only one thing that can kill him. A white oak stake. Damon said if I hid the weapon from the hybrid he'd protect me from his wrath, well clearly that didn't happen.

Putting my back to the man before me I hug my knees to my chest knowing I'm not getting out of here until the vervain is out of my bloodstream. Then I'll be compelled like he does to all weak human beings. "Giving me the cold shoulder already Y/n. Where's that feisty side I'm usually graced by." He teases as I clutch my eyes closed scoffing. "I don't believe anything you say hybrid. I'm not gonna fall for that charming accent like every human you've come across!"

Klaus has to bite his tough when the girl glances over her shoulder at him. Trying to hide his usual smirk that forms on his lips everytime he's allowed to interact with you. He instantly fell for you by the first sentence that came from your lips. You always had a feisty side around him that made the chase for your heart even more exciting. Unknown to the original you had feelings for him too. But you're friends had made it pretty clear that he's bad news. Although to you Elena has been a winer lately, it can't be that hard to pick which Salvatore brother.

The reason I hid the white oak stake wasn't just to help my friends but so I could see him alone for once without eyes watching us. For months I've faught myself. That I can't have feelings for the guy who wants to kill one of my friends. Going over everything I failed, he's not what people think or what he makes them believe. Klaus has never hurt me, not even right now. All he's done is removed my vervain necklace after vamping me to his basement.

"I could bring you something to eat if you tell me what you'd want, sweetheart." He suggested bending down on a knee as I've turned my body halfway to face him. "Why does the mighty Klaus Mikaelson care whether me a ordinary human is fed or not!" I sniped staring into his blue eyes, trying so hard not to blush at so close our faces are to each other. Shivers run through my body at feeling his freehand brush some hair behind my ear, tilting my head his way with his other my necklace laying at his knee.

"I thought my gift with the note would have made it pretty obvious, love." A playful smirk on his lips eyes locked onto mine. The vervain necklace I was wearing had been a gift from him. He'd dropped if off at my front door the morning after I had a run in with a mean vampire that was traveling through Mystic Falls. He said it was a little protection if he was ever not able to protect me himself. "Klaus I - I thought you were joking..." I stuttered out dropping the feisty walls he was so used to seeing from me.

He's kidding right. The vervain is messing with my head right, that's all this is. Klaus moved both hands to cup my face causing me to blush uncontrollably at his next words. "Believe me love. I'm serious, this isn't a trick like your friends would have you think. You've worked your way into my heart, Y/n L/n." Slowly my hands move forward when he leans in his lips brushing over mine whispering out. "Tell me if you want me to stop or if I'm wrong." My arms fly around his neck no longer being able to resist him any longer, pressing my lips to his willingly.

"Never stop Nik, I've fallen for you too." I breathe out in laboured breaths after I break the kiss. A beautiful grin masks his face as he leans in again capturing my lips with his passionately until I need air. He gets to his feet pulling me up with him clipping his necklace around my neck. "Here's my agreement, Y/n. You show me where you hid the stake and I'll take you out tonight and treat you like a queen." Tilting my head at him I smiled lightly intertwining my right hand with his squeezing gently. "Sounds lovely, mr. Hybrid." He draped an arm over my shoulder as we exited the basement.
