"Riley, I don't know if I can do this. I'm not a murderer." He looked down at his wound. "Look Mae, I could be dead, they think I am. Its us or them." I looked at the gun in my hand then walked out. I snuck back into the store and slowly made my way up the stairs. I could see both of them laying there in the room lit with a single candle. They looked as if they just fell asleep. I stealthily made my way to the table with the candle and blew it out. I stood next to the first man and placed the gun on his forehead I could see the whites of his eyes as they opened then pulled the trigger. I could hear the other man quickly jump up and scramble through a drawer of a table next to him. He pulled out a flashlight and shined it at me. Before he could even finish pulling his gun up, I fired. I walked to his body and grabbed the flashlight. I walked back downstairs, I can't believe I just did that but I did what had to be done. I went to the front desk where the computer monitor and cash register sat and dug through the top drawer finding the keys to the feed room and put them in my pocket. I continued looking through the drawers for anything that might be helpful. In the bottom one, under a pile of papers, I found a first aid kit and ran out to Riley. I sat the kit beside him and lifted up his shirt, he helped by taking it off. I opened the kit and opened the bottle of peroxide and poured some on him. He clenched his teeth together. I grabbed his shirt and wiped away the excess peroxide and blood. "Riley, there's a needle and thread. I'm going to have to stitch it shut." He held his eyes tightly closed, "just do it." He tried not to move as the needle went through. I finished up and he let out a big sigh of relief. "Thank you, Mae."
