Part Forty

~Mae's P.O.V.~

I tried to fight back the tears "Yes, babe. You know there's nothing I want more than to be with you for the rest of my life." I started to cry and hugged him, burying my face into his neck. He layed me back playfully kissing me several times, "I love you, Mae. I've got everything I want and everything I need right here in my arms." John came and tapped on the door and it slightly opened. "Not interrupting anything am I?" He smiled. Riley stood up as I sat there admiring the ring. "Was just coming to see how everything's going." "We're engaged!" I said as I looked up with a big smile on my face. Riley looked back at me and smiled as well. John looked over at Riley, "Congratulations! Lets celebrate?" John's wife came around the corner and introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Lenah. You must be Riley and Mae?" "Yes this is them." "I've heard so much about you two." I just sat there still smiling. John turned back to Lenah, "We're going to have a party tonight. Why don't you take Mae back to our place and get ready. Me and Riley and the other guys will set it up." "What's the occasion?" she asked. "They just got engaged." Lenah looked excited and quickly came over to me and held out her hand, smiling, "Come with me!" she said happily. She led the way back to her and John's room. I was overwhelmed with happiness.
