~Riley's P.O.V.~

John continued walking through the hospital and introduced me to a few people that we passed by. Then we headed towards the back door. He held his hand on the knob "I bet you haven't seen anything like this since the outbreak." He pushed open the door. Outside was about 10 acres surrounded by a tall wooden fence. There was a garden, livestock, a playground, little shops and hangout area. I couldn't believe all of this was here. The shops had no people working them it was all free to everyone at there own need. We approached one stand and John grabbed a t-shirt and tossed it to me. "Here ya go, I'm sure you could use one." I slipped it on and he insisted on showing me where I could stay for the time being. We went back inside and he brought me down the hallway. He led me in a room that seemed to be used for checkups there was a door and across the front wall was a window with blinds for privacy. The only bed was a hospital bed but I'm sure I could make the room more homey before Mae is well enough to join me and everyone else. "Can I please see her?" "Sally or Alex will get you when she's ready to be seen." "Alright." I just sat down on the edge of the bed and put my face into my hands. John placed his hand on my shoulder and tried reassuring me that she'd be fine. "I'll go ahead and leave you alone." He walked out of the room shutting the door behind him. I layed back on the bed and reached into my pocket once again for the ring. She just has to pull through this, I know she can. I looked at it and had all these images in my head of our future together maybe someday we'll be safe enough to have children. She's going to be fine though, I know she will.
