-Riley's P.O.V.-

I slipped out of the store and went next door, into a jewelry store. I didn't want Mae to hear me. I stood next to the the jewelry case looking at all the shining watches and rings. I found the keys behind the counter, I'd rather unlock it than break the glass. I pulled out a ring that was white gold with swirled designs down the sides of it, and in the center a decent sized diamond. It was perfect for my plan. I miss my wife but Mae she's one of a kind. I wish I had met her before all of this happened. She's the girl of my dreams. I held the ring on the tip of my index finger as I looked around for a box. Under the counter was a small blue velvet ring box and I put the ring inside. Slipping it in my pocket I quickly made my way back to the store where Mae was. I continued to look around and put random items in my backpack. Then I heard Mae yell my name. I ran towards the direction of her voice and found her standing by a door holding her gun out, "What is it, hun?" "Shh.." I stayed quiet. Then I could hear the scratching noises at the door and could see a shadow moving around on the other side.
