I woke up the next morning and just layes in bed wondering what we would do today. When we aren't training or practicing the days become longer and more boring. I walked out to grab a bottle of water and saw that dad wasn't in the living room like he usually was. Maybe he's out in the barn. I slipped on my boots and drank my water as I walked out to the barn I opened the doors and it was empty I set my bottle down and grabbed a bale of hay and walked over to the stables, he wasn't here either. I threw the hay to the horses and kept on walking around. I walked towards the front yard my eyes started to water a little when I saw that there was another hole dug by the graves. "Dad?!" I ran towards it. When I got closer I stopped and approached it slowly, afraid of what I might see. Then as I got closer I saw there was a body in there the feet were showing. "Dad.." I looked inside the hole and saw dad laying there he had a gun in his hand and a single bullet hole in his head. I fell to the ground and layed on my back bawling my eyes out. How could he do this? How could he leave me here alone, by choice?! I looked back towards the graves and saw that there was a small piece of paper sitting on top of the dirt pile being held down by a rock. I rushed over to it and quickly unfolded the paper. Dad's last words.. "Mae, I'm so sorry.. I have failed you as a father and I've failed you as a friend. There are no words to explain how much I love you, but I want you to know that I do. I know you can pull through this, I just couldn't. I'm going to see you again one day, hopefully later rather than sooner.. -Dad" I dropped the note, covered in tears.
