Ace ran alongside the truck as we made our way back to Riley's. We got to his place and he opened the gate for me to pull in and let Ace free in the yard. There was a few walkers on the road and Riley just pulled out his gun and shot them. I started to bring all my stuff inside I walked into the room I woke up in I guess this would be mine. I set the suitcase on the small dresser and opened it up to set my clothes in the drawers and threw my pillow on to the bed. On the shelf I put all the guns and ammo. I went back outside and unfastened the saddle on Ace when I lifted it off I struggled to carry back to the porch then Riley swiftly came up to me by surprise and lifted it out of my hands, "let me help you with that" I smiled as he walked off with it. We both went back inside I sat down on the couch as he prepared food in the kitchen. Sitting there I just held the heart pendant in my hand staring out the window blankly. Riley came into the living room holding two plates with two sandwiches each then went back to grab water bottles. As he sat down across from me I tucked the necklace back into my shirt then looked up at Riley, he already had his eyes on me. I grabbed the plate from the table and set it on my lap, "thank you." "Its no problem, so are you gonna tell me your story?" "What do you mean?" He took a bite of his sandwich and looked back at me. "Well its obvious that necklace you picked up from your house has some meaning to it. Plus I'd like to know about what happened with you. I mean you know its just us here right now it'd be nice to get to know eachother since all I really know is that your name is Mae." I nodded my head and glanced out the window for no reason. "You tell me your story first."
