When I arrived home and informed Emma and Shin that Y/n is now awake, I went straight to my bedroom and fell asleep.

"Papa, this is Jiro!" Y/n introduced me to her father.
My first impression was he's scary. His serious expression and aura are dominating. He hasn't said anything yet but it's like he'll kill me any moment.
But I was wrong. He pats my head and looked at me.
"I see, so he's the boy that you always talk about." He said and Y/n blushed
"I'll make some tea." She said and left the room.
We were silent and the atmosphere was awkward. I was nervous but I have to keep calm. I need a good first impression.
"So.." he started
"Your name is Sano Manjiro right?" He asked
"Y-yes." I said. Damn, why did I stutter?
"And you love my daughter?" He asked seriously
"Yes sir, I do." I said without hesitation.
"I WON'T GIVE YOU MY DAUGHTER! ...
is what you expected me to say right?" he asked and smirked
"eh?"
"Why are you so stiff? It's not like I'll kill you." He said and I relaxed a little
"Y-you're okay about me and Y/n?" I hesitantly asked
"Of course I am. Ever since Y/n started to talk about you I had no objections. I just tested you." He explained
"Thank you so much!" I said and bowed
"There's no need to thank me." He said and I raised my head
"BUT IF YOU HURT HER FEELINGS I'LL HUNT YOU DOWN" he said seriously
"I would never" I also said seriously
"Good" he said with a nod.
"Actually I was worried about her being lonely here. It's good that she isn't." He said
"If may I ask, why aren't you living with her here?" I curiously asked
"It's because it's dangerous, I sent her here to make sure she's safe." He said
"Safe? What do you mean?" I asked again
"You lead a biker gang right?" he asked and I nod
"Compared to that what I lead is more dangerous for her." He said and I was more confused
"What do you mean?"
"I lead a group that's involved in something more serious." he said and I was surprised
"The enemy of our group is targeting my family to take us down. They already got her mother so I hid her here." He said
"I see" I said
"Can you promise me to protect her while I'm away?" He asked
"Of course, with my life." I replied he pat my head
"Kid, dying won't protect her so you should take care of yourself too." He said
"Oh, you guys are getting along well." Y/n said with a cup of tea in a tray in her hand.
"Y/n" her father said
"Yes?" She replied
"You chose a good partner over here." He said
