MADE FOR YOU

⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒

Waking up with the guilt of upsetting your best friend was such a destructive feeling. Alice and Clint were attached at the hip until now. Zephyr was feeling torn between them both. Alice hadn't told him what happened, but Clint had.

He left out the part where she spent lunch with their Professor. He only mentioned that they fought.

Clint could've sworn Alice would have hit him had he not controlled his words. The way she looked at him in disbelief. And enraged. Why did she get so worked up? It didn't matter anymore, Clint just wanted both of his best friends back so he could spend their birthday with them.

Zephyr woke up Alice noisily by banging on the door with a gift in hand. Even though she told everyone not to get her gifts, it's not as though they would listen. And Alice answered the door in a grumpy mood.

"What do you want?" She mumbled, using her knuckle to rub her eye.

"Happy Birthday!" Zephyr threw the gift box at her head. It bounced right off and fell onto the floor.

Alice stared down at it. "Birthday? Oh no."

"You forgot? Who the hell forgets their birthday and their best friend's birthday. It's on the same day!" Zephyr whined, kicking the door frame.

"Sorry. I've had a lot on my mind..." she sniffed, picking up the gift off the floor.

Zeph nodded. "Don't worry about it, sugar. Just make it up to me by taking me out for a drink. We're both 18 now!" He cheered silently with his fist thrust in the air.

"When?" She covered her yawn and pulled open her dresser.

"Anytime. Now hurry up and get dressed, you missed breakfast."

She usually did. It wasn't always necessary. "Hurry up and leave me alone, I'm not stripping in front of you."

"Why not? I'll pay." Zeph teased her.

"Suck me sideways. Get out." She pushed him out with an amused grin. Well, she could use the money.

"Sideways? How would that even-," she slammed the door on him and proceeded to get dressed.

Sometimes Zephyr was rather frustrating. In a good way. He hadn't ever pissed her off by making false accusations without understanding her side of the story... But Alice didn't miss Clint any less, mad at him or not. And she took it too far, bringing Angie into the conversation.

Alice chose not to tie her robes around her waist today and just left before she was late to her first class. Fortunately for the things she left in Professor Lupin's living quarters, she had him first again. She was nervous to see him again. Nothing had happened, but something about being near him still made her feel... lightheaded.

It wasn't that she was uncomfortable. She was far from the term. If anything, she was more comfortable with him than she had ever been with someone else. It could've been either a very good thing, or a very bad thing. That depends on how they felt about each other. And right now... neither were too sure.

How convenient it was that she was the first to show up, and he was there. Her things were already placed on her desk. "Good morning," Professor Lupin said to her, not sure whether or not he should approach her.

Alice breathed in and held it, then released her breath. "I suppose it is."

"I apologize if I made you uncomfortable yesterday. Those weren't my intentions." He felt he was making a fool out of himself. She never appeared uncomfortable, only confused.
