HONORABLE MENTIONS

After the quidditch game, Remus was rushing out of the stands so fast that he nearly saw James again. Slytherin won, all thanks to Alice's and Adrian's wonderful skills. The team was huddled around the two of them, hands lost in both their hair, messing it up so horribly that Alice could feel her brains pouring out her ears. Zephyr was rapidly shaking her, screaming something about hitting Clint with a bludger.
When the yelling settled down, Alice escaped the circle and dizzily stumbled back, bumping into Remus. "Sorry, Professor!" She held the side of her head and blinked hard.
"Did you enjoy yourself, Rudolph?" He teased her.
"Rudolph?" Alice tilted her head sideways.
"Rudolph." He tapped her nose with his index finger. Now not only was her nose burning red, but her cheeks.
Alice smiled and looked down. "Well, I did enjoy myself. Were you entertained?"
Remus looked her up and down in her dirty jersey, slightly sweaty, disheveled. Her hair was unkempt and she was still breathing heavily. The thought of her riding her broom, hands clutching it tightly re-entered his mind. "Very."
"Maybe sometime you can show me just how entertained you were," Alice responded as she was reluctantly pulled away by Zephyr and Adrian who were hyper and full of glory all the way up to their tiny brains.
"Thank you, Captain! You're amazing!" Adrian kissed her cheek as he usually did. Problem was, it was right in front of Professor Lupin. Alice couldn't see his reaction, but she wasn't sure she wanted to.
Zephyr agreed with Adrian and rubbed her back. "If it weren't for you, I don't even want to know how today would've gone."
"Probably a lot more violently." She narrowed her eyes at Zephyr. He'd indeed banged Clint up more times than necessary.
"He deserved it..." Zephyr muttered, walking ahead of Alice and Adrian.
Adrian turned to Alice with a huge grin. "What?" Alice scoffed.
"You're into Professor Lupin, aren't you?" He pinched his lips together to hide the devious smirk that was indefinitely taking over.
"Is it really that obvious?" Alice rolled her eyes. If it was, she was going to have some serious problems.
Adrian stopped in front of the girls' locker room. "A bit. Him affectionately touching one of your facial features didn't exactly help the matter. See you around." He pushed her towards the doors then ran off toward the boys' locker room to scare the shit out of Zephyr.
Since Alice and Remus didn't interact much outside of his classroom and their hot chocolate meetings, Alice couldn't see how it was obvious she was into him. There was no point in denying it anymore, but still. She wondered. Maybe it was just in the way they looked at each other like they were the first shooting star they'd ever seen.
Alice had to admit that she liked how Remus looked at her when she wore her jersey. It looked as though he wanted nothing more than to tear it off her body, all while never wanting it off at all. The longer that Alice went without knowing how it felt to have Remus' lips on hers, the more reckless she began feeling.
"Alice wasn't even that good." Alice heard either Fred or George mumbling when she was walking back through the castle halls.
"Fred-," That was George.
Alice stopped and pressed her back against the wall. Eavesdropping never lead to anything good, but she didn't appreciate hearing her name invoked into a conversation.
