SNAPE, THAT SNAKE!
⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒"It's not funny!" Zephyr groaned. "My head is swelling, I can feel it!" He rubbed the side of his head as he and Alice walked to Potions.
Alice scoffed. "No, it was like that before."
Long story short, Zephyr had just been hit in the head by a cracked cauldron that Peeves dropped on him. To say he was pissed was an understatement. Alice was trying to lighten the mood, but Zeph was on a rage streak, glaring at everyone he passed in the hallways. The only people that actually got scared of him were two first years who had just left Potions and were already terrified to death by Snape.
"I have a question," Zeph started. "Where were you yesterday? I mean, I know you always ditch me and Aria for your boyfriend anyway, but for longer than usual."
Alice cleared her throat and stared down. "We were uh... talking. Busy. We were talking. Just talking. Busy."
"You disgust me."
"Don't act like you weren't about to screw my little sister behind a tree the other day!" Alice stuck her tongue out at him immaturely.
Zephyr did it back in a mocking manner. "You're such a three-year-old, why are you sticking your tongue out at me!?"
"Just trying to show you what my lovely boyfriend was doing to me yesterday," Alice winked at him.
Zephyr closed his eyes and faked a sob. "I hate you."
They entered class together and then parted ways. Snape had still not moved Alice's seat from beside Clint. It was annoying, but he had stopped trying to apologize anyhow. Yet, he would stare at her all class and she knew it. Alice put her chin on the desk once Clint had angrily thrown his books down and sat down with a huff. Professor Snape was of course teaching them more about the Wolfsbane Potion, sticking his big nose where it didn't belong. Alice began to drown his voice out, the previous day's events reoccurring in her mind.
Oh, Remus. He was magic. Pure magic with everything he ever did.
Alice had completely stopped paying attention. Even when Snape called on her. She was in a daze, nothing but Remus consuming her mind. Though she was aware that Snape's eyes were fixated on her, it was as though she just couldn't let the thoughts go. Except for when it felt like someone was reading her thoughts. Her mind didn't feel alone.
Clint nudged her. Alice flinched and turned to him. He pointed to Snape who was smirking subtly. "Sorry... what was the question?" Alice sat up.
That was such a weird feeling. Not feeling alone in your own thoughts. Alice tried to consider the possibility that she just paranoid, but there was another possibility. Once she left class, her mind became centered around one thing. Legilimency. There had been a lot of rumors that Snape was a Legilimens. It churned Alice's stomach, and she had a very bad feeling about what was to come.
That being said, she decided to keep it as a rumor. The day was over and she could happily return to her boyfriend and bother him while he graded papers. The daily ritual she rarely missed.
"I'm alive!" Alice announced, swinging through the doorway into Remus' office.
"What a shame," Remus teased her. "I missed you." He looked up from the drawings the 2nd-years had created, portraying what they were most scared of being defeated by themselves. They were quite creative drawings, Remus was having a ball looking through them.
Alice sat down across from him and put her head down again. "I'm so tired, you wouldn't believe it."
"But I do. You're always tired, especially after Potions. Which is incredibly reasonable, Snape is exhausting."
