No Fucking Way

Sierra POV:

I left Kris' a while after we got out of bed and watched Lion King with April again. I'm starting to get attached to that weird little kid. She was the splitting image of Kris, just that her eyes were a bit more brown, than the stormy blue I came to love these past few weeks.

Sade called me over, telling me she had something important to tell me. She sounded distressed over the phone, like it wasn't bad, but it was scaring her. I was extremely confused, but Kris told me I should hurry, the moment she heard the tone of Sade's voice. It was almost as if she knew the exact reason for the phone call.

Reaching the door, I raise my hand to knock, when it comes flying open.

"Hayden, wait!" I hear Sade yelled after the fleeing man.

Chasing him out, she makes it to the bottom of the porch before getting out of breath. Strange. Sade's usually able to run at full speed for around 10 minutes.

"Sade" I say, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Whipping around and wrapping her arms around me, I feel a strong wetness on my shirt and I know she's crying.

Pulling her in and rubbing her back, she lets her sobs get louder.

After a while, she let go and pulled back. Wiping her eyes, she sniffled and pushed her hair out of her face.

"Sierra" she sniffled out. "I'm pregnant"

Taking a step back, my eyes go wide at the new information. My baby sister is pregnant. She's gonna have a kid. I'm gonna be an aunt......again.

"Sierra say something" she pleaded, shaking me by the shoulders.

"That's....." I start, her eyes watching my features attentively. "That's amazing"

The fear on her face disappeared immediately, as the tension in her body drew out.

"You're gonna have a baby! My little sister's having a baby!" I squealed, picking her up off the ground. "You're gonna be a mom!"

"I know, I know" she said as I put her back down. "I just wish Hayden would be on board with it"

"Wait, that's what the whole storm out was?" I inquire, confused as to why.

"He just doesn't want kids right now" she frowns, tears coming back to her eyes.

"Hey, hey no more crying" I say, wiping whatever had already fallen from the new set. " I'll talk to him, okay?"

"Please" she begs, clutching my shirt sleeve.

"I got you" I reassured.

"Thank you"

"Always" I finish, kissing her head and going back to my car.

Pulling up outside of his restaurant, a feeling of relief drowns me, as I see his car parked outside. Walking in, I got straight to the kitchen, not caring for the workers attempting to stop me.

"Hayden" I yell sternly.

"Go away Sierra" he yelled back.

Following the sound of his voice, I find him to the side of the room and corner him.

"When we first met, I told you I'd kill you if you hurt my sister, and you just did that. So explain to me, why I shouldn't and why the fuck did you run out on your pregnant fiancé?" I challenge, getting closer to him.

"Everyone out!" he shouted, all the staff following suit.

"You have 5 minutes. Start talking." I demanded.

"I'm just not ready for kids. Understand that" he huffs, folding his arms.

"I don't believe that" I scoff. "I've seen you with Deon. The way you treat him, and even how you look at him. We both know you're more than ready, so what's really stopping you?"

"I- Sierra" he sighs, leaning back on the wall. "What if I come out like my dad?"

"He was never there. He was always working, or had somewhere else he needed to be. He owned a buisness like I do, what if I become him?" he says, tears beginning to roll down his cheeks as he slid down the wall.

Stooping at his side, I place a hand to his back and attempt to comfort him.

"You are nothing like the man your father was. You're better. And you'll make an amazing father in the future, but right now, you need to go home and tell that to Sade" I whisper to him, making him stand and compose himself.

"Thank you Sierra" he sniffles. "I'll never regret being the caterer for your company event"

"Damn right" I laugh, giving him a pat on the shoulder as he went off to change back into normal clothes.
