Kristen POV:
"How was the second date?" Lea asked, hot on my trail to the kitchen.
"For someone who's on crutches, you're moving a bit too fast" I reply, avoiding the earlier question.
"Very funny. Now answer the question" she persisted.
"It was better than the last one. Happy?" I say, still not satisfying her.
"No" she responds, leaning on the counter. "There's something more you're not telling me"
Giving her an annoyed look, I examine her features for something to throw me off. Finally giving in, I let out an exasperated sigh and decide to tell her.
"Okay, okay" I sighed. "I- she- well we both kind of.....mutually decided to label our.....relationship"
"You're stalling" Lea commented, getting tired of me.
"We're dating" I finally blurt out.
The biggest smile purses on Lea's lips, as she pulls me in for a big hug.
"I'm happy for you dumbass" she whispered into my shoulder. "You deserve someone like Sierra"
Pulling back, with bright smiles on both our faces; we stand there for a second, before she breaks the silence.
"If you two idiots hurt each other, I'm gonna kill you both" she says sternly, making me laugh. "No seriously, you have your baby daddy shit, and boss has been through a lot of deceit. I'm watching you both"
Sighing and laughing at her, I go over to the fridge, to make a sandwich.
"Aunty Lea!" I heard from behind me.
Turning to see April struggling to run down the stairs without tripping, she runs over to Lea, and hugs her legs.
"There's my favourite person" Lea replied, extending her hands out towards my daughter. Lifting her with a bit of struggle, Lea successfully held April in her arms, and they began a very hushed conversation.
"Momma, can I tell Aunty Lea?" April asked, breaking away from Lea a bit.
"You can tell Aunty Lea whatever you want baby" I reply, not too bothered by the topic.
"Oh, well Momma said, she has a crush on Sierra"
"Okay that's enough of that" I interject, taking April from Lea.
"But you said I could tell Aunty Lea whatever I want" she cried, as I put her down on the counter.
"Anything but that" I begged.
"Nah go on kid, I wanna hear more about this sneaky little crush" Lea teased.
"Lea I swear to God, I will fly over there an-" I was cut off by a knock on the door.
Walking over and opening the door, I'm met with a smiling Sierra.
"Hi" she says, lightly swaying from side to side.
"Hi" I say back, my tone expressing my suspicions.
"These are for youuu" she sings, revealing a bouquet of roses from behind her back.
Taking them from her, I lean against the door frame and shoot her suspicious looks.
"What? Can't a girl spoil her girlfriend?" she asks, leaning forward and kissing me.
"I came to carry my favourite person on a picnic" she whispers.
Breaking away from me completely, she allows her eyes to trail inside and a smile catches her lips.
Turning and following her line of sight, I see a direct line to April.
"I think she's ready" I say.
"What?" she inquires, making me face her again.
"We can tell her" I confirm, making her smile go wider than before.
"Sierra!" April exclaimed, running from inside.
"Hey little Simba" Sierra responded, getting down on her knees and lifting Apes.
"Guess what?" she asked, as the pulled apart.
"I don't like guessinggg" April whined, bouncing a bit.
"Okay okay," Sierra laughed. "We're going for a picnic. Would you wanna come?"
"Only if I get ice cream" she reasons back, making Sierra laugh and nod yes.

When we got to the park, we let April play with a ball she brought, whilst we set up the blanket and food.
"April, come on" I yelled, catching her attention and leading her over.
"This one's yours" Sierra pointed out to her.
Sitting and folding her legs, April opens the sealed bowl and her head immediately jerks up with a wide smile.
Turning to Sierra, I see her smile and give April a small wink with a nod.Giggling and facing back down at the bowl, she takes out a shaped cookie and hands me one. Turning it upright, I smile as the design finally falls in place.
She got April Lion King cookies.
Looking up at her, I find a wide grin on her face, as she watches April drown in elation from the cookies.
Nudging her shoulder, I shake my head at her a bit, making her smile wider.~
After we finished eating, I told April to go play for a bit, while Sierra and I cleaned up. We planned to tell her while we were eating, but she was too caught up with the cookies to even look at either of us.
Sitting back with a small sigh, I lean my body against Sierra's as I enjoy the kiss of the breeze.
"Ready?" Sierra whispers, sliding her hand down mine and intertwining our fingers.
Giving her a slight nod in response, I sit up properly and call April over.
"Apes I have something important to tell you" I say, placing her in my lap.
"What?" she mutters, worry crossing her features.
"Remember what you told Aunty Lea today?" I asked.
Slowly nodding her head, her eyes widen a bit, almost as if a realization.
"Sierra has one of me too" I said, making her eyes go even wider and she began to bounce in her place.
"What your Momma's trying to say is" Sierra began, moving in front of me to face Arpil. "She's my girlfriend"
"Like how Simba and Nala are boyfriend and girlfriend?" she asks, bringing her eyebrows together and tilting her head.
"Yes" Sierra laughed. "Just that, there are no boys involved"
"Does that mean we're a family now?" Apes asks.
"Uhm" Sierra mumbles, turning to me.
"We're definitely a family now" I confirmed, making Sierra bite her lip to stop herself from smiling.
Standing from my lap, April ran over to Sierra and gave her a big hug. From over her shoulder, I could see small tears form in her eyes.
A/N: This chapter is so cute, it actually reminds me of Val and Evie 😕
