Aomine Daiki x Reader: Thanks

"Ehh?! Why?" you whine as the the guard of the ice rink won't let you in.

"I'm sorry, (Last Name)-san. There's going to be a tournament that's going to be held here in a couple of days. That's why we can't let anyone in except for the people that will organize the rink." the guard apologetically smiled.

You were well knowed for your amazing talents in ice skating or in general, skating and your stubborn, really stubborn attitude.

"Huh? The Winter Skates? Is that the name of the tournament?" you asked, calming down.

"Yes... Are you a part of it (Last Name)- san?" he said excitedly.

"YES! That's why I need to practice! " you whined yet again.

"I'm really sorry..." he smiled. You pouted and said 'thank you' to the man.

'Where will I practice now? As the guard said the tournament will be held in a few days?! What's worse is that it's the championship! What if I can't practice? What if..' you continued to talk in your mind. You were worried as hell.

You were talented but of course you still wanted to practice for the best. You have memorized everything that you needed but practicing was still a need.

You sighed heavily and thought of a place where you could practice. You scrunch your face together and stopped walking for a while. "What if I ask Tanaka-sensei first? I'm sure she'll help me." you lit up. It wasn't that late yet and you hoped that she was still at school. You came to the ice rink right after your dismissal.

You ran to your school, Tōō Academy which wasn't too far away from where you are now.

There were still some students walking and talking around so you really hoped that she was still here.

You ran to the faculty room and knocked. "Tanaka-sensei?" you softly said.

"Come in." A soft yet fragile young voice spoke. It was very familiar to you.

"Tanaka-sensei! Ahh!! I'm really happy to see you here." you ran to your 25-year-old teacher.

"Let me guess. You can't practice in our city's ice rink because they're already preparing for the event?" she raised an eyebrow while fixing her things.

"How did you- Whatever. I need to practice!!" you went near her and shook her arm.

"You have practiced enough (Last Name)-chan. You can rest for a few days." she looked at you sincerely.

"Ehh? It's not enough. I still haven't perfected my finale." you said sadly.

"Well... we could always use the gym." she put her hand on her chin and looked at you.

"Ha?" you said dumbfounded.

"You have roller skates, right?" she took her bag and pulled you out of the room.

"Well yeah but- Oh I get it. Thanks, Tanaka-sensei!" you hugged her and jumped up and down.

"But first we have to ask the basketball team to postpone their practice for a few days. Winter cup isn't that near yet." she said while you both walked to the gym.

"Hai." was all you answered.

You both arrived at the gym seeing few of Tôô's basketball players. Including the man you hate, Aomine Daiki, which was really rare. You don't know him well but by just looking at him, you really can see that he has a bad attitude. You don't understand why some of your girl schoolmates like him. Looks and talent maybe.

You rolled your eyes and let out some air.

"I'm gonna ask their coach, ok?" you nodded to her words.
