Chapter 3

The white horse got closer, the person on the horse became clear to Ryder. It was a girl with light brown hair and green eyes.
The girl commanded the horse to kick the bear and so it did. The bear roared out of anger and stood up, lashing it's long claws at the air.
Ryder quickly got up and moved out of the way. "Go Cloud! Kick that bear's butt!" the girl cheered.

The white horse hit the bear on the head. The bear shook his head and fled, never to return. The horse then calmed down and stood standing, the girl got off of the horse.
Ryder stared at her, she looked so familiar. "You look so familiar" Ryder said.

"I can't believe you don't remember me" the girl said, "remember me Lily, from the foster home". "Oh my goodness! Is that really you?" Ryder asked, his eyes wide with excitement and shock.
Ryder ran to her and grasped her in a big hug. "Lily, I can't believe it's you" Ryder whispered with pure joy.
"After two years, we're reunited" Lily said. They broke the hug and stared at each other.

"Lily, how did you know where I was?" Ryder asked. "From the world news, about you and your pups successfully completing a mission. I was shocked when I saw that news. You have achieved so much in just two years" Lily said.
"You don't know how much has happened to me" Ryder said, "we have a lot to catch on with. But I think we should get going".

"Yeah, it's late" Lily said. "But I don't know the way back to the Lookout. My pup-pad is in the water" Ryder said.
"Pup-pad? Lookout?" Lily confusingly questioned. "The Lookout is the tall tower where me and my pups live and prepare for missions" Ryder explained. "My pup-pad is a device I built, I can communicate with my pups through it, get calls, and play games".

"Wow! You built a device?" Lily questioned, her green eyes bright with amazement. "If you only you knew how many other things I built" Ryder said. "We need to get back to the Lookout. But we're lost. Earlier I threw my pup-pad in the river out of anger.
Now the river has taken it and I can't get in touch with my pups" Ryder said.

"Don't you know the way back?" Lily asked. "I went too deep into the forest" Ryder said.

Chase, Skye and Zuma were at the river and searching for Ryder. "Skye, do you see him?" Chase asked. "No, I don't see anywhere" Skye said. "Rocky, did his location change?" Chase questioned.
"I'm afraid your tracking his pup-pad, not Ryder" Rocky said. "What? How do you know?" Chase demanded. "Well, I realized that I could reverse to where Ryder was earlier. According to the map, Ryder was walking through the woods and then stopped at the river.
A little while later, the red dot which is the pup-pad went in the river.
I think he threw his pup-pad in the river but I don't know why?" Rocky explained.

"This is getting serious" Chase said, "poor Ryder is lost, cold and scared out in those dark woods. We have to find him before something happens".
"I'm gonna need all paws on deck. Pups, meet me at the river bank".

Zuma drove his hovercraft back onto land and Skye flew toward the riverbank. The pups at the Lookout rushed down the slide, into their vehicles, and drove off to the woods.

"We're all here!" Marshall said. "We all know what happened, Ryder is lost out in the woods and we need to find him fast. I need everyone to search the woods, when any of you find a hint of Ryder, tell me. Zuma, your gonna swim down the river and find Ryder's pup-pad. Rocky, where was the pup-pad when you last saw the map?".

"It had stopped at some boulders at the river" Rocky said. "Good, Zuma, you swim down the river and get the pup-pad" Chase barked, "now everyone split up and search for Ryder!".
The pups howled together, and then took off.
Zuma drove his hovercraft in water and went down river.

Skye to the night sky and the other pups split up through the forest. Zuma reached the boulders that were down the river.
"Arf! Scuba suit!" Zuma barked. He geared up in his scuba gear and then leaped out of his hovercraft, diving into the water.
