Chapter 6

As the sun rose upon Adventure Bay, it's rays embraced the town with light and warmth. In a house that was on the outskirts of Adventure Bay, Dylon awoke from his sleep.
"Time to get this day started" Dylon rubbed his hands together and sneered.

He got outta bed and walked to the bathroom. After showering up and brushing his teeth, Dylon changed into his favorite outfit.
Black pants, a white t-shirt, and a black leather jackets.
Then he brushed his black hair and went to the kitchen for breakfast. After eating something quick, Dylon set out toward Town Hall, with a purpose.

"Good morning Mayor Goodway" Dylon greeted, faking kindness. "Well hello Dylon, how are you settling into Adventure Bay?" the mayor asked. "I'm really liking it here. It's just as it was described" Dylon said, sliding his hands in his jacket pockets.
"I'm glad your liking it here. So what makes you come to me?" Mayor Goodway asked. "Well, I needed to ask you something" Dylon said.

"How can I help you?" Mayor Goodway questioned. "I have a best friend coming to Adventure Bay who is a scientist in space. He's a space expert and knows everything about space. My friend is planning on going to the moon some day but he doesn't have the money to buy a rocket. So I wanted to get him a gift before he arrives, which is in one week. Now I don't know if you would agree to this deal" Dylon explained.

"If he's a scientist in space, he shouldn't have to buy a rocket because he would have been part of a space association and they would have a rocket" Mayor Goodway said, who's tone sounded suspicious.
"He just graduated from college in becoming a scientist of space" Dylon said, "but his biggest dream is traveling to the moon. So I wanted to make his dream come true".

"What's your deal?" Mayor Goodway asked. "I wanted to buy a rocket but I don't have the money obviously. So I wanted to know, what is something you've wished to have but it seemed impossible to get?" Dylon asked.
"Well....." the mayor began tapping her fingers on her chin thoughtfully. "I got it. I've always wished to have a gold statue of Chickaletta, real gold though, in Town Hall".

"If you let me have a rocket for free, in return I'll mine gold myself and carve a statue of Chickaletta, all by myself" Dylon said. "Oh my! That's so sweet of you" Mayor Goodway said, "it's a deal". "Deal" Dylon said, laughing evilly inwardly.

The deal was made and so Mayor Goodway showed Dylon to a rocket which she gave him for free. Dylon promised her that he would get her gold statue in a week.
That evening, Mayor Goodway decided to call Ryder and tell him about the deal, for she was so excited about getting a gold statue of Chickaletta. If only she knew that she had been deceived into a fake deal, in which she would never get a gold statue.

Mayor Goodway grabbed her phone from her purse and called Ryder.

Meanwhile, Ryder had been sitting with Katie on a bench in the backyard while the pups were playing with chew toys, a soccer ball, on the slide, and the swing.
Ryder's pup-pad suddenly started ringing. He took it out of his pocket and saw Mayor Goodway calling. He answered her call.

"Hey Mayor Goodway, what's up?" Ryder asked. "Your not gonna believe this. But I just got an amazing deal" Mayor Goodway said, her face masked with excitement.
"What deal?" Ryder asked in confusion.
"Your best friend Dylon and I have made a deal" Mayor Goodway said.

"My best friend? Who told you Dylon was my best friend?" Ryder asked in shock. "Dylon told me" Mayor Goodway said.
"He's a liar" Ryder said, "he came to the Lookout and made fun of me and the pups. He's an evil character, Mayor Goodway".
"Why did he make fun of you and the pups?" Mayor Goodway questioned.

"I've known Dylon for two years, from Adventure City in the foster home. He's bullied me to the point where he's even thrown a glass vase at me" Ryder said.
"Oh my goodness! That's horrible!" Mayor Goodway cried. "You can't believe what comes from his mouth. So what's this deal he's made?" Ryder asked.

"Well, he said that he had a friend coming and his friend is a scientist in space who had just graduated from college.
His friend's dream is to travel to the moon one day. So Dylon wanted to make his dream come true by getting him a rocket. Dylon made a deal that if I gave him a free rocket because he doesn't have the money, he would mine gold himself and carve a statue of Chickaletta, which is something I've dreamed of having. So I took the deal and gave him a free rocket" Mayor Goodway explained.

"Your not gonna get a gold statue. Dylon has just made you fall for a fake deal. And I can feel strongly that he is up to something evil" Ryder said, "an evil plan against me".
"I'm so sorry Ryder. I can't believe I fell for his fake deal. I'm so sorry Ryder, now when something happens, it's going to be my fault because I just supported his evil plan" Mayor Goodway said in great guiltiness.

"It's not gonna be your fault because you didn't know" Ryder said. "I'm sorry" Mayor Goodway said. "Don't be, Dylon is very evil and deceiving" Ryder said.
After Ryder finished speaking to Mayor Goodway, he turned to Katie who had heard the conversation.

"What are you gonna do if Dylon really is planning something against you?" Katie asked, her face expression worried.
"There's nothing for me to do right now. When something happens, that's when it'll be time to act against him" Ryder said.
