Chapter 15

Ryder, Phantom, and Lily headed back to the Lookout. "Phantom, I don't get how this invisible energy barrier works. How is it that only me, you and Lily are able to get through but no one else is?" Ryder asked, who was making dinner while Phantom was standing by the kitchen doorway.
Ryder had taken a shower and dressed into his PAW Patrol pajamas. Lily also took a shower and was now in the backyard with Cloud, feeding her and petting her.
"Well, all I have to do is think of who can cross through the barrier. I say in my mind only I, Ryder and Lily can pass through the barrier. That's how simple it is" Phantom explained.

"That's fascinating to hear" Ryder was putting chicken salad into two bowls. "You better not make a mess in the kitchen".
"I won't" Phantom said. Ryder walked out of the kitchen with two bowls of chicken salad for him and Lily. He went to the TV room, where his bed, Phantom's big mattress and Lily's mattress were. "Lily! Dinner is ready!" Ryder yelled. "I have to go Cloud. Goodnight, my fluffy cloud" Lily kissed her horse on the forehead.
Cloud neighed softly and watched her owner run away. "Ryder, put a movie on. We're gonna hang out tonight" Phantom said from the kitchen. "Phantom, not now. Everyone is tired, today was a very chaotic and tiring day" Ryder explained.

"Put a movie on, or I'll eat your liver for dinner" said Phantom. "I hate your ways of doing things" Ryder muttered. "I heard you! I'm not deaf!" Phantom shouted from the kitchen.
Ryder just rolled his eyes.
Just then, Lily came in. "Chicken salad for dinner" Ryder was putting on a movie.
"Mmm, sounds delicious. Why are you putting a movie?" Lily asked, as she seated herself on her mattress.

"Phantom" Ryder replied, "what kind of movie do you want to watch?". "I don't know....just put a horror movie" Phantom shrugged his shoulders. "No horror today. We've been through enough scary things today. The attack with the aliens and seeing dead people across Adventure Bay" Ryder said.
"Put a horror movie on, or I'll eat your liver and head and arms for dinner" Phantom commanded. Ryder exhaled a long breath, trying to keep his growing anger and irritation together.

Ryder put on a horror movie for Phantom. "Where's the milk?" Phantom asked. "In the fridge, duh" Ryder answered as he sat on his bed with his salad.
An arm extracted from Phantom's back and opened the fridge, then took a glass bottle of milk. He poured some milk in the blender in which he was making strawberry milkshake.
He then purposely dropped the glass bottle.

"What was that?" Ryder asked at the hearing of shattering glass. "I dropped the milk...accidentally" Phantom lied. "Be more careful the next time! Your wasting things!" Ryder raised his tone.
"It's not a big deal. Just buy more milk tomorrow" Phantom said. "The town is destroyed. There are no stores to buy food from" Ryder corrected. Just then, he heard another shatter of glass. "What did you break?!" Ryder yelled. "A ceramic plate. Stop buying ceramic plates!" Phantom's tone was above normal. "Phantom is annoying" Lily laughed lightly. "I agree with you" Ryder agreed, "I better go see what's going on in that kitchen".

Ryder got up from his bed and walked to the kitchen. His eyes immediately widened and his jaw dropped. "Oh. My. Goodness" Ryder gasped. The kitchen looked as if a storm just hit it. Thick clouds of grey smoke was floating in the air, the kitchen sink faucet was running, the glass bottle of milk was shattered on the floor, milk was sitting in a puddle in the center of the tiled floor, strawberry milk was leaking from blender, flour was sprinkled on the counter, the cupboards were open, the fridge was open, a watermelon was scattered infront of the fridge, the ceramic plate was shattered across the kitchen, and Phantom was standing at the stove cooking something with arms coming out of his back and grabbing stuff from around the kitchen.

"Phantom, what did you do in here?" Ryder asked. "I was cooking dinner and now it's ready" Phantom was carrying three trays full of food. He shoved Ryder and walked to the TV room.
