Chapter 24

A few months had flew by fast. Adventure Bay and Barkingburg were rebuilt by the PAW Patrol. The PAW Patrol had been honored by everyone. Mayor Goodway held an enormous celebration for them. And during the past few months, Ryder's pups helped him get through the mournful death of Phantom. Katie would sometimes come over too and try to help Ryder. But Ryder's pups were always the lifters of his spirit.
Ryder was never more happy than when he was with his pups. Life was finally restored back to normal on planet earth. Ryder and his pups continued performing their normal rescues everyday. The love for their job never faded from their hearts, for they were meant to be the heroes to save the world whenever it was in trouble.

Although life was normal once again, Ryder never forgot Phantom. He would always thought about him.
In and around the Lookout, life was peaceful and normal. Marshall and Chase were playing Pup Pup Boogie in the TV room.
Rocky and Zuma were having a match of tug-of-war. Skye and Rubble were playing chase around the Lookout. Ryder was taking a shower in the bathroom.

"Your never gonna beat my score" Chase boasted, who was watching Marshall clumsily play the game. "Sure I will, watch this" Marshall started moving faster, but he then tripped on his large paws.
"Oof!" Marshall landed flat like a pancake on the floor. "I told you you can't beat my score" Chase laughed. "Whatever" Marshall huffed.
"You can't catch me! I'm too fast!" Skye chanted, as she ran from Rubble. The agile little cockapoo performed a flip and continued running. "I'm gonna get you!" Rubble barked.

"Zuma, pull harder" Rocky's voice was muffled for his mouth was full of rope. "I'm twying" Zuma said. "I should've played with Chase. He's more challenging" Rocky thought.
Zuma yanked the rope, sending Rocky flying past him and then hitting a tree. "Ouch" Rocky rubbed his head with his grey paw. "You told me to pull harder, so I did" Zuma walked up to Rocky. "I didn't say that hard" Rocky groaned. "Sowwy dude" Zuma apologized.

"Hey Chase and Marshall" Ryder greeted, who just finished showering. "Trying to beat Skye's high score?" "Yup" Chase answered, who was now playing the game. Ryder grinned lightly, watching Chase play the game.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your game, but I need to announce something very important to you pups" Ryder said in a serious tone. Chase immediately stopped playing and looked Ryder, so did Marshall. "What is it?" he asked nervously.
"You'll see, let's assemble the other pups" Ryder said, walking out of the Lookout with Chase and Marshall following.

They found Skye and Rubble running around the Lookout and Rocky and Zuma playing another match of tug-of-war. The pups were assembled in the backyard, standing infront of their leader.
"I have something very important and serious that I must announce" Ryder said in a stern voice. "Oh no, what could it be?" Skye asked in a nervous voice. "Did we do something bad?" Rubble said.
"I wanna cover my ears" Marshall said.

"We're going on vacation!" Ryder announced. "WHAT?!" all of the pups gasped. "Vacation!" Ryder cheerfully said. "Oh my goodness!" Skye barked. "This is pawsome! We really need a vacation after everything that just happened a few month" Chase said. "I agree with you, bro" Marshall agreed.
"I can't wait!" Zuma said.
"We all deserve a break!" said Rocky. "I'm gonna make sure to bring lots of pup-food and treats" Rubble's mind as usual was always thinking about food. Rubble earned the laughter of everyone.
All of the pups howled together in excitement and then leaped onto Ryder.

They knocked him onto the soft green grass and started licking his face. "That tickles!" Ryder laughed. Once the pups got off of him, Ryder sat up. "Where are we gonna go?" Rocky asked.
"Good question because I need you pups to help me think" Ryder said. "Maybe Antarctica?" Chase suggested. "I agree with Chase's suggestion. A snowy vacation sounds fun" Marshall said.
"How about the jungle?" Rubble said. "No, what about the mountains?" Rocky suggested. "We could take a vacation at the ocean" said Zuma.

"How are we gonna decide if everyone wants to take vacation to different places?" Ryder asked. The pups stood quiet in thought. "I have an idea!" Chase's eyes lit up. "Ryder is gonna be the one to choose. He's the main one who saved the earth from Dylon and the aliens. He went through many challenges in this mission and then had to deal with the death of Phantom, so Ryder deserves to choose our vacation place." The pups barked and howled in agreement. Ryder smiled warmly at Chase who returned the smile.
"I'm sorry to the pups who didn't choose this place, but I choose Antartica" Ryder said. "That's great! I think it's the best place out of the other places that were suggested" Skye said. All of the pups agreed happily and excitedly. "Let's get packing for vacation. I'm gonna invite Jake with us since he know a lot about Antarctica" Ryder said.

The book has ended! OH. MY. GOSH! I can't believe it just ended right now!
