Chapter 14: Mariah

I can't believe that I'm having a day out with Jacob. Omg everything was running through my mind like what was I going to wear to the simple question of whether he felt the same way about me as I did him. We barely touched or have spoken other then the brief moment at the arcade. I had never felt anything like it before.

"Omg Layla I'm going out with Jacob tomorrow, can you believe it." I said as we made our way to our door.
"No like what it's crazy, and his friend Brayden his cute and he wants to see me again too." Layla said as we both giggled as we made our way inside.

"His so cute, can't believe we met one of the biggest influences of Germany and they want to hang with us." I said back excitedly.

I paused and said

" I really like him Layla."

"Well then tell him, I think he likes you to. The way he was looking at you tonight in awe. I see it and I think he friends see he feels the same way." She said.

After our heart felt moment, as I lay in bed I was replaying over the last last few days in my mind especially tonight. I really hoped he felt it to and felt the same way.

After some time of thinking I dozed off to sleep.

The next morning blinked on the horizon through my window. After waking up to the sun I laid there and opened Tiktok. I haven't checked my phone since I posted my comment.

I had so many comments, private messages, likes and follows. All wondering about me. Some nice and some mean. In that moment I didn't care about there comments because all that mattered to me was Jacob and how he felt about me. I went to Jacob's profile and messaged him.

'I'm so excited about today, can't wait to see you.'

And proceeded to look at his page. There I saw the video in which he was referring to earlier when he wanted to meet me in person to hang out. It looked like fate brought us together in another way. It's funny how fate works sometimes. I liked his most recents he had made the day prior. Cute as always.

After getting ready for the morning, I was having breakfast when my phone dinned with a message from Jacob.

'I'm out the front, see you in a few. Me to can't wait, you ready for the adventure that awaits?'

I got up and looked out the window and there he was below looking up at me. We both waved at each other.

After proceeding down stairs there he was tall, handsome and cute as ever. As I went over to say hi he took his hand from behind his back and gave me some flowers.

"Oh thank you." I said as I took them and smelled them.

He extended his other hand so I could take his hand. I did as I said

"Good morning, how are you."

"I'm well now that I'm here with you." He replied.

His hand felt nice in mine reassuring, gentle and protective all at once. I felt electricity as we touched and I was pinching myself on the inside wondering how this was even real.

As we walked off into the street, I said

"So where are we heading."

"It's a surprise, plus we have all day to do it all." He said as he winked at me.

"Ok." Well I cant wait I thought.

As we continued our walk we eventually stopped outside of a small café.

Jacob let go of my hand and held out his hands to the building in front of us and said

"Here we are." As he looked at me.

"This is the best place to eat waffles." He said as he smiled and continued

"And the best part we got our own private room."

"Are you kidding me." I said wide eyed.

"Being famous has its perks." He said as he raised his eyebrows.

"Thank you Jacob, this is so sweet." I said.

We walked inside and made our way to our private table where we sat down.

"This is beautiful, I cant believe this is happening." I said as I smiled.

"Well thank you, I'd do anything for you" He said.

He paused and said "your gonna love the waffles."

"Hmm cant wait." I replied.

After making our order to the wait staff Jacob proceeded to turn on some music from a nearby speaker.

It was subtle and relaxing, it was nice in that moment with just the two of us. It felt like we were the only two people in the world.

He proceeded to ask me some questions.

"So tell me about your family and what Australia is like." He said.

"I live at home with my parents, and I have three siblings- two older one younger."

"Australia is great very chill. The weather is great and theres a lot of beaches and places to go." I said.

"Wow that's awesome." he said.

"It is, so tell me about your life before all of this." I said back.

"It was great, I lived with my family in Frankfurt. I use to do tutoring in math. It maybe surprising but math is my strong suit." He said as he smiled.

"That's cool, and I know your good at math, I've seen your videos, its impressive." I replied.

After some waiting some more our food arrived.
