Chapter One: Carter’s P.O.V-

You all know who I am, but if you don’t that’s alright too. I’m Carter Stonewell A.K.A Ross Lynch’s girlfriend. It was the winter season and was still pretty warm in California. I was walking through the doors of my apartment with my sister Camila and our best friend Kaylynn after we walked off the bus from school.

“Have you talked to Ross recently?” Kaylynn asked.

“No, but when I get upstairs he wants to Skype.” I said looking up from the text message he had just sent me.

“I miss them so much!” Camila said.

“Imagine how we feel,” I said, pointing between me and Kaylynn “We ARE dating the guitarists,”

“I know but Rydel is my best friend… I can’t wait till she gets back! We’re going to go get our nails done and shop and just… catch up.” She shrugged at the last part.

We stepped onto the elevator and went up to the penthouse.

“I can’t wait to see Ross,” I sighed “It’s been weird not having him around. We used to hang out every day and I’m STILL not used to just hanging with the girls.”

 “Me neither,” Kaylynn sighed again.

Nothing about The Stonewell had changed over the last five months. It was all the same (which was good because right now I needed a constant). My phone lit up as I was about to unlock the door. It was another text from Ross. He said that he had big news to share with me. If they were pushing out the tour till over Christmas I was going to be SERIOUSLY MAD! I replied with a simple ‘ok’ and put my phone back in my bag. I walked through the door and saw that the house looked like a nuclear bomb had just gone off.

“MOM?!” I called, looking around the living room and kitchen in disgust.

 “Yes sweetie?” she called back.

“What the heck happened to the house? It looks like some modern warfare went on in here.” I said, picking up one of my dad’s dirty tee shirts from the kitchen counter.

“Well I haven’t had much time to clean what with being on bed rest and all.” My pregnant mother walked out of the hall way.

Oh I didn’t mention that my mother was now pregnant? Oops… Must have slipped my mind, I guess. On the twentieth week of her pregnancy she found out she was having a baby boy! We were all so excited. Ok, so yes my dad passed out but what’s the big deal? Men freak out about that sort of thing. Before my real mom died she told me my dad passed out TWICE when the doctor told him that they were having twin girls. It was funny to actually see it this time.

“I forgot,” I said kissing her cheek.

“It’s alright,” she smiled “Hey, could you call your dad and tell him to bring home some cupcakes and bacon?”

“Uh…” I looked at my sister and Kaylynn (they both shrugged) “Sure,” I smiled and sent her off to her room.

“Ugh, I don’t want to lie down! It’s so boring!” she complained.

 Wow… Mood swing much?

“Read a book, watch repeats of Gossip Girl, catch up on Vampire Diaries, you’ll think of something, but for now you have to stay in bed if you want a happy, healthy baby boy.” I smiled at her.

“Fine, ask your father to also bring me some books… I have a feeling I’ll be down for a while.” She gave in.

“I’m only doing this because I love you!” I hollered over my shoulder as I came out of the hall.
