Chapter Thirteen: Carter’s P.O.V-
Ross took my hand and we went to walk by the lake. We were quiet for a while, just enjoying the company of one another.
“I’m worried about Camila.” I said, looking over at Ross.
“Why?” Ross asked.
“She’s not acting like herself… Normally by now she would have run up to me and given me a hug at least two times. But she hasn’t given me a hug once.” I looked at my feet.
“I’m not saying that something isn’t wrong with her, but I don’t think she even saw you. She was too busy trying to swallow Ethan’s face.” Ross laughed.
“However true that may be, it’s a twin thing to know when the other is around.” I tried holding back a laugh, but ended up smiling.
Ross nodded and said “You’re going to give yourself an ulcer just thinking about this.”
“I’m just worried about her.” I shook my head.
Ross sat down on a big rock and pulled me onto his lap.
“Have you tried thinking that maybe there’s nothing wrong with her and that she’s just trying to get at your dad?” Ross offered.
“I guess but, she’s always been a daddy’s girl… Even more than I am! Dad was always her favorite parent… mine was mom.” I bit my thumbnail.
“You know what?” Ross asked, taking my thumb out of my mouth and intertwining our fingers.
“What?” I asked.
“Two things, number one I find you overwhelmingly attractive and number two you’re just falling into her little plan. She wants to rile you and your dad up.” He said.
“I can always count on you to lighten the mood.” I smiled at him.
“It’s what I do.” He shrugged.
I leaned in to kiss him when I heard somebody say ‘aww’. I looked around over to where the sound came from and saw Rydel standing there with her R5TV camera.
“Rydel, what are you doing?” Ross asked.
“Trying to capture the cuteness! I’ve already gotten Riker and Freya, Ryland and Andy, Rocky and Kaylynn, I even got Taylor and me. Now all I need is a little Roter action to make the R5TV RULE!”
“You’re very weird and dramatic, but you’re my sister and I love you.” Ross said, trying to hold back his laughing.
“Good… Now let me get you guys on video.” She said.
Ross gave me a ‘what am I supposed to do’ look. I leaned into him and kissed him sweetly.
“Oooh! Perfect,” Rydel ran away giggling.
I looked up at Ross.
“Oh my gosh! We should come up with couple names for your siblings!” I said.
“You’re meddling again,” Ross said.
“This is NOT meddling, if anything, this is helping.” I shrugged “Sooo, for Riker and Freya I was thinking Reya, Taylor and Rydel is Taydel, Rocky and Kaylynn is Rocklynn, and Ryland and Andy is Randy.”
“It seems like you’ve been thinking about this for a while.” Ross chuckled.
“What do you think keeps me up at night?” I asked.
“You’re crazy, but you did a good job setting up my brothers.” He looked over his shoulder “I don’t think I’ve seen them like this in a while.”
