Chapter Four: Carter’s P.O.V-
“Look who flew in!” Mom said.
Sitting on the couch was my cousin Taylor.
“TAYLOR!” I yelled running to him.
“Hey C,” He said, giving me a hug.
“Hey Taylor,” Ross said “My sister will be all KINDS of happy to see you.”
“I was hoping,” Taylor said, keeping one arm around my shoulders “Is she with you guys?”
“No… Ross and I came back here to hang out.” I said, smiling at Ross.
“Well, I guess I should go on a Rydel hunt.” Taylor laughed.
“You won’t have to hunt too much,” Ross said “Here’s our address,”
“Thanks man,” Taylor shook Ross’s hand “See ya later Car. Tell Cam I say hey.”
“Will do T,” I said.
With that Taylor walked out the door. I turned to my mom.
“Hey Mama,” I said “Look who’s back.”
“It is so good to see you again Ross.” Mom hugged him.
“You too, Mrs. Stonewell,” He said.
“Mr. Stonewell and I want to take you both out to dinner tonight… Around six- ish” She said.
I gulped. Dad and Ross had never really TALK talked… They didn’t really know much about each other.
“It’s ok with me if it’s ok with Carter.” Ross looked back at me.
“Huh? I mean… Uh… Yeah… Sure.” I smiled.
“Perfect,” Mom said.
“Yeah… Perfect,” I smiled.
She went down the hall to her room. She was definitely in one of her better moods since the pregnancy started. I made sure the door of her room was closed then began freaking out.
“Uh- oh,” I muttered.
“What was that?” Ross asked.
“Nothing… Just saying how excited I am that we get to have dinner with my parents.” I put on a fake smile.
“You’re cute when you’re lying,” He pinched my cheeks.
“I’m not,” I said.
He gave me a look that said ‘Really?’
“Fine,” I sighed and rolled my eyes.
“What are you worried about?” He asked, pulling me closer to him by my hips.
“You and my dad haven’t ever really had the chance to talk since the summer… and with you pulling that idiot move I don’t know how he’ll react to you.” I said locking my arms around his neck.
“What ‘idiot move’?” he asked.
“Remember? You didn’t tell me something over the summer and then you were seen kissing that girl?” I asked, tilting my head to the side.
“Oh… That,” he said.
“Yeah… that,” I smirked.
“I try to suppress the memory of that.” He said.
“Me too,” I said “So there’s a certain agreement that you made that we should get started on.”
“I almost forgot,” He smiled.
