Christmas Special (Epilogue)

Sykkuno's POV: (10 years later)

I grabbed a present from out in the car, with the cold midnight air brushing against my face. It was a bit hard to walk in this Santa Claus suit, but hey anything to keep the Christmas spirit going. I walked up the stoop of the house and opened the door. The house was really dark, the only things illuminating it being the Christmas tree and the fireplace.

I walked over to the tree, and as silently as I could, placed the gift down under the tree. I stared for a while with my hands on my hips, smiling widely. Allison's gonna love this! I had to get ready for bed, but I still had to eat the milk and cookies to seal the deal. I wanted to get some sleep tonight, but with the amount of sugar I'm gonna get from these cookies, there's no way. Damn it Rae! Why do your cookies have to be so sweet and tasty?! Also Allison is going to be jumping up and down on top of me tomorrow morning in order to wake me up, so I have that to look forward to.

I scoffed down the cookies and chugged the milk quickly so that I can get back to bed quickly. This fake beard was starting to get really itchy so the sooner I can get it off, the better as well. I finished the cookies and went back over to the tree to make sure the presents were all set. I stepped back and admired the tree.

I just loved Christmas. It had slowly become my favorite holiday, no, my favorite day ever. It's just a day full of happiness where you sing Christmas carols, give people gifts, or just sit my the fireplace in a robe while sipping on a cup of hot cocoa.

I guess another reason I love this holiday so much is because it's technically Rae and I's anniversary. Now that I think about it, today marks the tenth year we've been together, and I honestly couldn't be happier with anyone else. Rae's only loved Christmas just like me, but ever since we started dating a decade ago on Christmas day, we've gone all out for the 25th.

I was so busy admiring the tree and thinking about Rae that I didn't even realize that there was a little girl standing right behind me at the bottom of the staircase.

"Santa?" I heard that small, little mouse of a voice chime in as I winced in anxiousness. This was the first time I've ever been caught by her! What do I do?! I turned towards her and did my best to give a friendly smile, which wasn't very hard because all of my smiles are sincere.

"Hey kiddo! What's your name?" I told her using my normal voice, which I regretted soon after. She's definitely gonna recognize my voice, there's no way! But what else could I do, make a cringey old man voice?

"My name's Ally. Are you Santa Clause?" The six year old girl asked hiding behind the railing of the stairs. I just kept smiling and hoped that she would believe what I tell her.

"Why yes, I am Santa Claus! I was just placing your presents underneath tree that's all!" I told her enthusiastically which made her smile and come out from her semi hiding.

"You brought us presents? Just now?" She asked walking towards the tree.

"Yep! All of them, every last one that you put on your list." I told her which made her face light up.

"Really?!" She asked again, this time really giving me that cute face I've always adored.

"Of course! You were on the good list this year! That's why you got all of your presents, so you wanna stay on the good list right?" I asked her and she nodded. "Well that means you have to go back to bed, wait until tomorrow, and not jump up and down on me- I mean your father tomorrow morning. Can you do that for me?" I asked her as she gave me a puzzled look.

"You don't wanna talk to me Santa?" She asked all innocent and confused.

"I'd love to talk to you more, but I don't have the time. After all there are other kids who Santa needs to deliver presents to, right?" I responded and she gave me a sheepish 'ok'.
