AN: You all read the title, you know what's happening in this chapter. ;)
Figured I'd bring back a series I've been meaning to bring back for a while! I can't wait to see how this concept goes for you guys, so let me know what you think of this continuation in the comments and I'll be sure to keep it in mind!
Anyhow, that being said, let's get into the next chapter of Worth the wait! This'll be a quick one.
Sykkuno's POV: (3 years later)
"Toast, those clothes have been sitting in the hamper for almost like a month now, clean them up!" I yelled at Toast from out in the hallway as he was currently playing Sea of Thieves with a friend of ours named Jummy. He didn't seem to be fully paying attention to me, still looking at his monitor and playing. He pulled one ear muff to the side to respond to me.
"I'll clean them later man, geez! Just relax and let me- Oh shit! Jummy it's a giant octopus!" Toast yelled out in that high pitched voice he always seems to do on stream. I just rolled my eyes at him and kept walking, shutting his door as I walked across the hallway and down the stairs.
It' been three years since I started dating Rae, and it was only a couple months afterwards that I started dating her that I moved into the house with her and her friends. It only took a couple months afterward until I felt like I was truly one with the group. It went from a group of four to a group of three instantly. And I've slowly but surely managed to gain the complete approval of everyone in this house.
With Corpse, he's always been incredibly defensive about Rae, which meant that naturally he took the longest to fully get used to me. I had to do a lot to prove to him that I was worthy of dating Rae, but there was one moment in particular that did it for him. All five of us were at a bar, Rae and I drinking and chatting together, Poki and Toast hammered together on the dance floor, and Corpse watching us all from afar, completely sober and acting as our bodyguard almost. Everything was fine up until some jerk pinched Rae's ass from behind, and started to be an asshole about it saying she was just making stuff up. Corpse wanted to step in when the dude made a gross comment about Rae, but I beat him to it by punching him in the face. Yeah, that proceeded in me immediately getting the shit kicked out of me by all of his friends, causing Corpse to really have to step in and all of us to get kicked out, it was all worth it for now officially gaining Corpse's trust. Now I'm one of the few guys that he allows within 3 feet of Rae.
With Poki, it was interesting since she was by far the most against me being here and in this friend group in the first place, but after the first week of me staying here, she was instantly swayed by my good living habits. This house was kind of notorious for Poki being the only real one to clean up around the place, that was, before I showed up. Now the two of us have grown a nice bond over cleaning the house, trying new arrangements of furniture and decorations and the like. It's weird, once you break through that ice cold bitch on the outside she's just this warm, fuzzy, sweet person on the inside. Who knew that someone who was a total psycho bitch in high school could turn out to be an absolute sweetheart when you get to know her?
Then there's Toast. I used to borderline hate Toast back at the end of high school. He tortured me when he kissed Rae right in front of me, and I hate him for it. Now we're almost like brothers. Unlike with Poki, the change from being not so fond of each other to best friends wasn't very quick. It took a bit of time, but not nearly as much as Toast. I think Toast mostly just really enjoyed having someone in the house who was pretty much just as smart as him, since the other 3 weren't nearly on his level of IQ, meanwhile I might even have a higher IQ than him. For the longest time, even when I thought we were starting to get along, I always thought that he hated me. My trolling always seemed to get to him in particular, so I was worried that my ways of trolling the group would almost strain us for good, but he did eventually open up a bit about things and clarify that we're friends, which obviously felt good.
