Your Type (Short Story)

AN: Idea loosely based off of the clip above. Just randomly remember seeing this moment on stream and then decided to just stitch this together.

Also made this a sort of Halloween special if you will. Although I don't consider it to be one, you can if you want to.

Also this slightly goes over the 2000 word limit I put on these Very Short Stories, but whatever I'm still calling it one.

Nobody's POV: (October 30th, 2021)

"C'mon, you have to have at least a type that you're NOT into. I mean, you've gotta at least have that!" Rae shouted at Sykkuno, hoping that he'd be able to give her an answer on his type of girl, considering that she not only has never seen Sykkuno dating someone, but she also would like to know since she's very recently taken more of a romantic interest in her best friend.

"I don't know Rae, I don't really think I have like a 'type' of girl that I'm into. And besides, what's the point of even having a type if that girl's never gonna like you back in the first place." Sykkuno replied to a rather annoyed Valkyrae. She had feared that he was gonna say something along the lines of what he had just said, but thankfully she prepared for this with her own response.

"Okay, maybe they do, or maybe they don't. Regardless you still must have some specific quality of a girl that you in particular are into? Just think, it doesn't even have to be all that specific. Give me an answer, trust me, it might lead to a little change of perspective." Rae pressured him into saying something genuine, anything really that she could work with without making it seem obvious as to what the goal of it all was, though the last bit may have been a bit too on the nose.

"What do you mean by that?" Sykkuno questioned Rae as she blushed out of embarrassment.

"Oh nothing! I just wanna make sure that you're chasing after the right women that's all!" Rae deflected the suspicious sounding comment she made just a second ago with an answer which wasn't exactly false, but wasn't exactly the truth either.

"Well, I don't know. I guess I just like women that are honest, and nice to be honest. I don't really like women who are dishonest, disloyal, or aren't really direct with me. I'd rather just hear what they have to say rather than playing some stupid game with me trying to see if I can figure it out for myself. I don't know if that really qualifies as a type or not, but that's who I typically look for in a girl." Sykkuno finally answered the question that Rae had wanted an answer to for a while now.

"Oh, interesting. Well that's fair. I like men who are honest with me too." Rae let out a nervous reply as she was now in a pickle. She didn't know what to do, as she didn't expect that kind of answer coming from him. She wanted to wait a while longer before confessing her feelings to Sykkuno, but his answer strongly encouraged her to just say it now instead of stringing him along. With a bit of internal debating, she ultimately decided against telling him now, but soon. Maybe tomorrow during OTV's Halloween party.

"And what's your type miss Valkyrae? If I have a type then you obviously do too. You can't just have me say mine and then not say yours back, that's not fair." Sykkuno voiced to Rae as she began to get nervous again. With a bit of contemplation and careful thought, she announced her type to him.

"Hmmmm... okay, you promise you won't judge?" Rae asked him and he nodded. "Alright, I kinda have a thing for those overly confident guys. You know the ones that are real smooth talkers, the ones that give me this thrill inside of me, even the guys that use those dumb pick up lines on me have this weird effect on me. I can't really explain it. I wouldn't really say that those guys are my type either, I'd say that my type is similar to yours, it's just that extreme confidence is like a gateway to my heart if you will." Rae explained to him how her main attraction came from overly confident guys.
