The Worst Day Of My Life! (Time Traveler #1)

AN: So yeah, this is kinda what I meant by the not based in reality stories.

This story is very much so based off of Gravity Falls (which, if you haven't watched yet, you 100% should it's both hilarious and creepy). More specifically episode 9 of the show where the two main characters both go back in time to try and fix a mistake one of them made, but it all goes to shit.

Future me here: My entire setup for this story is pretty much just a massive rip off of the show. From the time traveler himself, to the time machine itself. I'll do my best to make it seem as 'original' as I can, but I'm still a little self conscious about it for some reason. (Probably cause my mind keeps screaming: 'ooga booga! Stealing is bad!')

I'm hoping to keep these chapters nice and short. Anywhere between 1500-3000 words.

But anyhow, enough talking! Here's the first chapter of 'Time Traveler'! (Wow that name fucking sucks if anybody has a better one then please let me know because I know there's gotta be a better name for this story than 'Time Traveler' yuck!)

Sykkuno's POV: (February 25th, 2022, 12:15 P.M.)

It was just past noon and a bunch of my friends and I were having a blast at the latest 100 Thieves fair. It was a very new idea for 100T, mostly just a way to advertise both their apparel, as well as their sponsorship's, but due to the absurd amount of funding that went into it, not only did it look and feel like an extravagant carnival, but also had sales booming.

I was here with a relatively big group. Me, Rae, Corpse, Toast, Miyoung, Tina, Peter, Poki, Celine, and Janet. It was a very packed event overall so at times we lost each other. However I did get to witness bunch of great things amongst the crowd by chance. Such as Toast finally confessing to Miyoung in a very cute way. He had Celine give her a letter that said 'Your secret admirer is right behind you, turn around!' and when she did, Toast pulled her in for a kiss, which Miyoung thankfully reciprocated.

I also witnessed Corpse chatting up Poki, which looked as though it worked considering both the look on their faces, and how they went in the line for a small Ferris wheel holding hands.

We all eventually decided to tag along with them, each of us splitting off into pairs of our own. Celine went with Janet, Toast with Miyoung, Corpse with Poki, Tina and Peter, and that left me to be paired with Rae.

I've recently developed quite a big crush on Rae, as while it started off as a very slight attraction to her, but now that I've been seeing her in real life so often, I think my slight attraction has developed into something more than that. I'm not anywhere near close enough to confessing to her, given that she just got out of her relationship with that idiotic asshole Alex. Still can't believe he cheated on her. I hope none of us have to ever see him again, but if I do, he's gonna be leaving with a few less teeth than usual.

"Can you believe that we were able to afford this?!" Rae asked, gaining my attention from the fairly small Ferris wheel in front of us.

"I know right! This whole thing is crazy!" I replied back as we both stood in line. Most of our friends were behind us, but Peter, Tina, Corpse and Imane were all in front of us. With Peter and Tina placed only two pairs ahead of us.

"I think that when we're done with the fair, most of us are crashing at the 100 Thieves Lexus house, if you also wanna stay there?" She asked me, only slightly raising her voice over the large body of people waiting in line.

"Yeah of course I can stay there tonight!" I accepted her invitation as we smiled at one another. I took an extra second after she looked away to continue staring at her. She really was like a goddess in every way, shape, and form. I then followed her apparent gaze up to the running Ferris wheel. I always had the thought that before I confess to her, I need to share a moment with her that tells me she feels the same. Otherwise I won't have the confidence to do it. Maybe when Rae and I get to the top of the Ferris wheel, I'll be able to have that moment with her.
