*20 BBY, Ryloth*

Detta hung her head. We left her alone, rather planning the route home to Coruscant. When Detta came back, we asked a question.

"Should we go back now, or spend the night and arrive mid-morning?"

"Spend the night."She shifted her eyes to her mother's body. "I have some unfinished business."

Detta was gone late into the night burying her mother. While she did so, I went back to the tailor. I had an idea.

***

Detta came back very late that night. I laid awake and waited for her to return. It didn't feel right to sleep until she was here. She curled into her bedroll and stared out at the Rylothian land. My heart broke for her. Deciding to give her privacy to mourn in peace, I turned the other way. Not more than 10 minutes later, I heard rustling. Detta poked my shoulder.

"Can I lay with you?" Her eyes were bloodshot from crying and lack of sleep.

"Of course." I lifted my blanket. She crawled in and snuggled into my shoulder. "Are you comfortable?"

"Mhm." She let out a deep sigh. Maybe she would get good sleep this way. I surely hope so. We had a big meeting with the Republic and the Jedi Order in the morning.
