Preface

"What are you doing here? Your dad is going to go crazy if he sees you are gone!"

"I'm sorry Trent but I had to see you, I hate that he is keeping us apart like this."

"What do you mean keeping us apart? I didn't know there was an us!"

I stumbled backwards away from Trent for a moment, what was he talking about? I knew that he felt for me the way I felt for him. Why was he pushing me away again? " I'm leaving Trent ; my dad is sending me away to live with my aunt in Rhode Island. I leave on the last day of school."

"Rhode Island, hunh... Well, that will be cool. You'll get to get out of this crappy lil town."

"Oh, ok... Ummm yeah it will be great. Well.... I just wanted to tell you I was leaving and all... I'm a.... I'm gonna go back down to the house. I still gotta pack."

"Well, give me a hug, silly before you leave. I'll see you when you come to visit your dad."

Trent pulled me into his arms, I buried my face in his chest. Man he smelled so good. I always love the way he smells. I began to cry, but quickly pulled back the tears. I thought for sure that Trent was in love with me. I guess I know the answer to my question. Now, there is no reason for me to stay in this little town.
