It was another hot day, but the weather here was nice. You didn't feel like you couldn't be out and enjoy the sun. Whenever Shell wasn't looking I would try to sneak a peek at my phone. Maybe my text didn't go through because of the service. I was trying hard not to worry myself. We wandered once again from store to store still having no luck with finding a dress. As Shelly was becoming more discouraged, I suggested we sat down for a little bite. No matter how much water I drank I still felt parched. I am relating this to my really dumb choice of drinking last night.

We sat down at a little table and glanced at a menu. The look on Shell's face was killing me at this point. I was starting to worry that if we didn't find her a dress soon she would call off the wedding. I try changing the subject so that she can take a breather and maybe recalculate her plan of attack for a dress.

"Spill it, what is the story with Rez?" Even the sound of his name makes me not care for him. Not to mention if Shell didn't like him there must be something wrong because she liked everyone.

"He's Ed's buddy from the army. I dunno, I have only met him a few times but something just rubs me the wrong way about him."

"Is he a total douche?"

"No, he is always nice and polite to me. He seems decent." She shrugs her shoulders as the server brings out our sandwiches. "Then why don't you like him."

"I don't know how to explain it. There is just something about him that I just can't place my finger on. Don't get me wrong, everyone who meets him just loves him, and the other guys wives secretly go on about how hot he is. But I just get this feeling when he is around."

"Like he is a serial killer of some sorts? Maybe a stalker?"

"Nope, he's just a nice guy."

"So you hate him for no reason at all?" I was lost at this point.

"No, I don't hate him. I just.. I don't know, it's strange. Feel like i am supposed to dislike him"

"That makes no sense, Shell, but whatever I guess. So let me at least ask, what kind of name is Rez?"

"It's a nickname. All the guys have one. They call Ed Munch, go figure. I guess it's an Army thing. You know come to think of it I don't even know Rez's real name. I don't really know any of their real names, except Ed of course. Oh and I know Ken's because his wife refuses to let anyone call him Doobie. She is one of those prissy kind of women, perfectly manicured nails. Ken stayed in the army so he is like some officer now. Ed says it's funny because Doobie and Rez got into a lot of trouble together running contraband and stuff. Not like illegal trouble, more like mischievous trouble."

As our server came back over to the table I asked her if she knew anywhere great to get a nice dress for a wedding. I still needed one for me to wear so we better get cracking. She told me about this nice little boutique right off the main square. She explained it's directions to us and that the older lady made the dresses there by hand, but it was where all the locals went for great prices and nice clothes.

We finished up our food, gathered our stuff and head in the direction the server gave us. The boutique wasn't exactly what I pictured. It looked more like an old thrift store at home would. "I think our server tricked us."

"Shh, Shelly don't make fun of it. Maybe it's her only income. Come on it doesn't hurt to at least look around. Maybe we can find a cool purse." We proceeded to look around. Shell was right I think we were tricked. They are probably laughing at the dumb tourist now. I saw a lot of cool things to buy, but nothing stuck out for a wedding. As I reached the back of the store there was a doorway covered with a beaded curtain. I looked over at the woman sitting at the counter and she nodded at me. I took it as signaling I was a loud back there.
