When we pulled up to the patio behind the restaurant it was magical. The lighting, the soft music, the table decor was all so fabulous. I would have pointed this out to Shelly but she had her face still buried in Ed's. They hadn't taken their eyes off each other since the cart pulled away from the beach. "Umm." I cleared my throat to get their attention. No such luck.

"Hey dude save some for tonight, we are here." Trent jumped off the cart and walked over to where I was sitting to help me down. Of course like a dunce my ankle gives out as soon as these dumb heels hit the pavement, and right into his arms I went. "Why are you always falling for me?" He teased as he grabbed my arm to steady me.

Ed escorted Shelly off the cart and over to the table. Giving her a spin that filled her dress out beautifully. He pulled out her chair and she gave him a light kiss on the cheek before sitting down.

Trent took the cue and rushed over to pull out my chair. "I am not going to be kissing you tonight. Just a fair warning." He winked at me with a frown pursing his lips "we will see about that Brooke," then broke into a mischievous grin.

It didn't take long after sitting down for the food to be served. They started us off with a salad. It was amazing with walnuts, fresh strawberries, and feta cheese. I could've eaten that all night. The wait staff was quick to clear our plates and come out with the next course. It was a creamy tomato soup with basil. You could tell that the croutons on top were made in house.

"Shelly if they keep bringing out all this great food I am no longer going to fit in this dress."

"I don't care, I am so hungry I could eat everyone's servings. Now that my nerves are calmed down."

I looked over and Ed and Trent were in deep conversation. I thought about sliding my chair a little closer to hear what they were talking about. Ed kept smiling in my direction and Trent wouldn't make eye contact. "I thought whispering and giggling was a teenage girl thing?"

"Not your teenage girl." Ed blurted out. I couldn't help but nod. "Touche'. Speaking of children I am going to step away and give them a call." I pulled my cell out of my clutch and excused myself from the table.

Again on ring four my dad answered the phone. "Hello, Brooklyn is everything ok!" He sounded so sleepy.

"Oh, crap dad, I forgot about the time difference. I was calling to tell you and the kids how the ceremony went.

"It's fine, I was just worried something was wrong. Besides I just got to sleep."

"Dad, it is three in the morning there, why are you just getting to sleep?"

"I waited for Vanessa to get home."

"WHY WAS VANESSA OUT UNTIL THREE IN THE MORNING?"

"She wasn't, she was home at midnight, but since she went out without my knowledge I thought it would do her some good to sit outside and cool off."

"I don't follow. So she snuck out until midnight but didn't get home until three?"

"No I left all the lights on so she thought I was up and had to wait in the bushes to sneak back in. To teach her a lesson. When I thought she had learned I opened the door and told her she was welcome anytime to come in, it had been unlocked the whole time."

"Let me guess she made up with Ashton?"

"I would imagine it seems that way. It will be hard seeing him with her punishment."

"Why how did you punish her? "

"She will be stuck to me from morning till bed and with the list of things I want to get down around here before you come home, she will be too tired to worry about sneaking out."
