As Chae sang, Jennie started walking down the aisle with her mother. For her, every adventure requires a first step and each step reveals a new horizon. There's a question running through her head. She always wondered what does it feel like to walk down the aisle? And when she stepped on her right foot, that's the time she knows there's no turning back.
I don't remember hearing the music after I started down the aisle but I heard it clearly before my first step. With just a snap, everything becomes magical for me. It was blur and felt unreal. I thought I was going to cry until I reached the end, but to my surprise I didn't cry at all. Just what I know, all I can see was Lisa; my eyes focused only for her and I was so happy that I can feel myself floating in the air.
On the other hand, it was really obvious that Lisa feels restless. She knew weddings can cause a roller coaster of emotions, especially for them who have to patiently wait for their brides.
"Yah! Jenduekie is so beautiful in her white dress," said Jisoo that was really amazed to see her friend slowly approaching them.
"Absolutely and perfectly beautiful." Lisa whispered. Jisoo heard it and she looked at Lisa continued to gawk at Jennie like being hypnotized. She hides her smile when she notice Lisa's face was sweating. She took her handkerchief out of her pocket and gave it to her friend.
"Yah! Take this. Keep your shit together! You're sweating! You're hella nervous, Manoban! Don't you dare lie to me coz it's really obvious right now!", Jisoo laughed at her friend.
"No, I'm not!", Lisa opposed.
"You can't deny it!", Jisoo insisted. "So how does it feels upon seeing Jennie walked down the aisle?", she asked her friend. Lisa looked at her then at Jennie.
I felt like a constant euphoric rush and one of the few times in my life that I profoundly felt that I was doing something right. She's always beautiful in my eyes. But today, Ohmyghad! She's more beautiful in this moment than I've ever seen her. Why does my chest hurt? I can't breathe! There's a huge lump in my throat. Is this the reason why I can't breathe? For the first time in my life, I was literally 100% breathless.
"Unnie! Here she comes! Fck! I can't breathe!", I blurted out.
"What?! You stupid! You can't pass out here! Just breathe slowly and relax!", Jisoo said.
Finally, Jennie was now infront of Lisa's parent. Mr. and Mrs. Manoban gave Mrs. Kim a hand shake as a simple way of respecting the bride's parent. Next, they hugged Jennie and congratulated the young lady.
"Thank you for loving our daughter," said Mr. Manoban.
"Please, take good care of my daughter, Jennie," whispered Mrs. Manoban at her.
The bride didn't say anything to them. She was just hugged Mr. and Mrs. Manoban. Then after that, she bowed her head and looked at them while smiling so bright.
Lisa, stepped closer to Mrs. Kim and bowed her head as her respect to Jennie's mother. Mrs. Kim softly smiled to the young girl and gave Lisa a hug. "Lisayah, remember the only thing I want you to do with my daughter...Just love her and take care with my daughter." Lisa widened her smile to the old woman and say", I will, Mrs. Kim. I'll promise."
Mrs. Kim and Lisa's parents went to their seats. At last, Jennie take her one last stepped to reached Lisa. Finally, she saw Lisa up to close. She can see clearly how beautiful handsome her soon to be wife is, with those all white tuxedo and a new hairstyle that she likes even more compared to its old hair cut.
As she was looking at Lisa, she notice the tears that continously flowing on its face. She reached out Lisa's both cheeks and wiped away the tears.
