CHAPTER 9

Lisa's POV

7:00 PM

I was just lying down in bed and browsing my phone to kill time until 8:00 o' clock in the evening came up. Jennie and I, we'll be having a dinner date tonight together with her Mom. I looked at my phone to checked what time is it and good for me, I still have one hour to prepare myself.

I decided to get out of my bed to take a bath and quickly went inside the bathroom. I let myself relax and enjoy the warm water in the tub with my favorite bubble bath and soak for a few minutes.

After a nice and long soak in the tub, I went up and go straight to my room. I choose what to wear for tonight and dressed up. I looked at myself in the mirror. Then suddenly, I felt the nervous all over my body as I think of how I'm going to talk to Mrs. Kim about my proposal to her daughter. I'm not going to propose to Jennie tonight. I'll just ask for the consent of her mother. Besides, I don't have a ring for now. Good luck, Lalisa! You can do this! I went out of my apartment and go to the parking lot to pick up my car. I passed by to the flower shop before I go to the Cafe.

After a few minutes of driving, I'm right infront of the cafe. I blew the horn to let Jennie know that I have arrived. I put down the window of my car to see her. As I expected, I saw Jennie smiling at me with her gummy smile while waving her hands in the air. "Wait for me, I'll just parked my car", I mouthed to her and she bob her head.

"Good evening, Ms. Beautiful," I said and give the bouquet of flowers to her. She looked at the other one I was holding.

"Why there's so many flowers?", she asked curiously. Suddenly her mother came out of the door. "Ow, Hi Lisa," Mrs. Kim greeted and smiled softly at me. I approached her quickly and give her a warm hug.

"Hi, Auntie. Good evening. Here's the beautiful flowers to the most beautiful and caring person in the world." I giggled and gave the bouquet to the old woman. Mrs. Kim gets surprised and glad as she received those flowers from me. "I finally received a flowers too", she said smilingly while looking to those flowers she was holding. Mrs. Kim looked at me and softly caressed my cheek. "Thank you for this, Lisa," she added. I looked at Jennie and I could tell how happy she was right now by just staring  to her eyes that twinkled so bright and to her lips that held a warm smile.

"Mom, we'll be going out for a dinner tonight." Jennie said and walked towards us.

"Ohh, I see. Dinner date?", Mrs. Kim said.

"Yes. The three of us we'll be having a dinner date tonight.", I said that made the old woman surprised.

"Why am I included on your date?" she asked.

"Because your the mother of the girl I'm inlove with." I answered and let out a smile on my face. "So dinner outside or I will cook dinner for us, instead? What do you guys think?!" I asked.

"I think second option is better. Am I right, Mom?" Jennie looked at her Mom and wait for the old woman to answer.

"Hmmmm. I would like to taste your cooking to make sure that you can cook for my daughter." the old woman said.

8:30 PM

We are already in their house. Jennie and I are preparing the ingredients for tonight's dinner.

"Mom, you should take a rest while were cooking our dinner." Jennie said to her mom. "Alright then, call me if dinner's ready." Mrs. Kim entered her room.

"I'll be the one to cook dinner for us, right? So you should sit there and relax. Don't worry. I'll give you a permission to watch me while cooking." I winked at her and took off the apron she was wearing and put it on me. Then, I pushed her and let her sit on the chair. I turned my back on her and started to cook.
