CHAPTER 44

Taehyung brought Jennie home from the airport after the quarrel he and Lisa had earlier. They were so quiet and no one is paying attention or talking to each other until they get to the apartment. Jennie noticed Taehyung still fumed with anger and annoyance was evident on his face. But she still wouldn't talk to Taehyung for the reason that she was upset about the man's behavior a while ago. Jennie didn't expect Taehyung would cause a disturbance that's why she become more stressed.

The brunette woman opened the door and she noticed Taehyung was just standing there and did not follow her inside.

"Jen, are you mad at me?", asked Taehyung.

Jennie didn't answer him and instead, she turned her gaze to the man's wound on its lower lip.

"Don't just stand there. Come in". Jennie said.

"Look! I know that you are upset with me. And I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry for what happened at the airport", Taehyung apologetically said.

"I said come in here. I will treat your wound."

"Please forgive me. I can't stand you being mad at me. I only did that because she is already harassing you. Besides, she was the first to use force not me", Taehyung explained.

"I know but Lisa is still a woman. You shouldn't have hurt her."

Jennie went to the kitchen and Taehyung follow her. The brunette woman gets the first aid kit inside the cabinet. "Sit down", she simply said. Jennie held the man by his chin to check the wound and there was only a small cut on his lower lip. She gets the ointment and put it on Taehyung's wound. Jennie was stopped suddenly when her index finger touched the man's lip. Out of nowhere, Jennie remembered the kiss she and Lisa had last night. She returned to a trance when Taehyung noticed him.

"Jennie, are you okay?", the man asked.

"Ahm..ye~yes! I'm okay", Jennie nodded. Then she gently treated the wound.

"Thank you", said Taehyung after Jennie treated him. All of a sudden, his phone rings. It's his father calling him. Mr. Kim needs to talk to his son personally. Before Taehyung left, he uses the comfort room.

"I'm sorry but I have to go. Dad wants to talk to me. I guess it's about for tomorrow's meeting", he said and bid goodbye to Jennie.

"It's alright. I'm fine here. Don't worry about me. You can go now. Be safe on driving." Jennie said goodbye and Taehyung finally left the apartment.

When Jennie was about to return the first aid kit to the cabinet, she noticed the man's phone on the table. She immediately took it and ran after Taehyung so she could return the phone to its owner. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

"That's V! How could he forget to bring his phone?". Jennie walked towards the door to open it. But she didn't know that someone else was outside.

"L~Lisa...what are you doing here? How did you-."

"It doesn't matter. I'm just here to talk to you."

"Just go away, Lisa." The brunette woman was about to close the door but Lisa stopped her and insisted on going inside then locked the door.

"Jennie, we need to talk!"

"We have nothing to talk about. And I don't want to listen to everything you have to say anymore. Just go now or I will call the security to get you out of here." Jennie said seriously as she pointed to the door for Lisa to leave.

"But Jennie please....just hear me out." Lisa pleaded. Then suddenly the doorbell rang again. Jennie was in a panic when she realized that at that moment it was Taehyung. She knew there would be more trouble if the two faced each other again.
