"Seems about right..." I said breathing rather heavily due to the training.

It's about to be sunrise. Hate it when the sun is out... My shadows are weaker and so is my semblance.

Making my way back to Beacon I spotted a guy with dark grey hair and formal attire shooting what appeared to be some sort of ice out of the ground. Since he was in my way I decided to go and talk to him.

"Hey," I said behind him and he turned around slightly panting.

"Hello there." He responded in an eloquent voice.

"Training your semblance?" I said, pointing out the massive ice structure he managed to create. His ice seemed to have black tints to it, which I have to admit looks pretty nice.

"Indeed, how'd you know it was my semblance? If I may ask,"

"Well, I was just training by myself and you seemed to be doing some exercises I used to practice with," I said examining the structure with seemed to have a slightly noticeable shape of a fist. "Trying to get it to make a fist?"

He looked very surprised.

"Well yes. How'd you know?"

"Well..." I looked at my shadow and started to control it. With my hand, I made a fist and swung into the air and my shadow grew in size and made a giant fist from the ground. "My semblance lets me manipulate shadows and let's just say that I managed to get a pretty good hold of my manipulation."

"That is specular... How did you manage to get such a perfect representation of a hand?" He said admiring the fist and I started moving the shadow hand with my own.

"It's a mimic of my hand, with my semblance I can move it, but it's not very durable, especially in the presence of a lot of light. But with your semblance, I think it can be more durable at the cost of mobility."

"Are you willing to teach me your ways? I'm sure our semblance has this in common."

How could I say no?

"Uh, sure. We'll do it quickly. Show me what you've got at the moment," I asked him to show me and he did.

He concentrated a bit and from the ground, black ice spiked up, but not in the form of a hand. Instead in a massive sike.

"Okay then, it seems you've got control over basic manipulation. I can only assume you pull ice from the water in the atmosphere?"

He nodded.

"Right. Try, and instead of concentrating the water molecules on the bottom of the ice, focus them on the top. What I did was picture my hand. Maybe do that and try and move the water molecules more to the fist area."

He concentrated once again and summoned his black Ice again. This time more ice formed on the top than at the bottom. The form of a hand was more prominent this time. His face had a big smile and he turned over to me.

"Phenomenal! You're a great teacher, you know?" He said, placing one arm on my shoulder.

"Ah, don't mention it. By training more and more and tweaking what I told you, you may manage more than that," I said pointing at his sculpture. "I've got to go now. Kinda hungry. I'll see you around?"

"Surely. Oh wait, I didn't quite get your name."

"Geist is fine."

"I'm Titus Iceborne." He said with a small smirk on his face and offered his hand for a handshake, which I gladly shook.

"Alright then, see you later," I turned around and started walking.

"Geist?" I turn around. "Thanks for all," He smiled.
