Ajax POV
"Warning: Safety barriers falling"
Darkness had fallen over the arena. People who couldn't escape were now in a maze of seats. Without their ability to see, making their way through the colosseum became extremely hard. The holographic barrier could be heard being depleted by something bashing into it repeatedly.
A Nevermore had made its way on top of the barrier and was now successfully making its way inside, where Ajax lay shocked in the middle of the arena in complete darkness.
"I can't see anything!" Zack opened his eyes as much as he could, trying to get as much light inside of them. "I need Sirius for my flames."
As soon as he said that. Light sources could be seen being made by other students using their semblance or their weapons all around the Colosseum. Hana seemed to be in the same book, summoning her Spirit Sage on top of them, which glowed a green light.
"Can you see, Geist?" Titus asked looking around the arena in search of him.
"No, there isn't enough light around us to see what's in the arena."
The arena started shaking once again. Hana could barely manage to see that something was trying to get inside the arena from the top. She motioned her Spirit Sage over to the barrier up top, only to reveal a Nevermore's eye examining the arena.
"What the fuck?" Zack was startled by the sudden appearance of the Nevermore.
The Nevermore flew into the air, readying itself to plunge itself down onto the shield.
"Brace for impact" Hana alerted, shifting her Spirit Sage down to her friends as a barrier.
The Nevermore crashed down into the barrier, shattering it and slamming down the ground of the arena, where Ajax most likely lay. There was silence, only some occasional random screams could be heard.
Out of the blue, screeching from the Nevermore commenced, but said screeches seemed to be of fear as if it were being chased. Hana motioned once again her Spirit Sage down the arena to illuminate what was happening. She was shocked to see that Geist's shadows had grown immensely. Tendrils and shadow claws towered and surrounded the Nevermore. She wasn't able to locate Geist. He had to be somewhere controlling the shadows. Tendrils had sieged the Nevermore, grabbing its talons. Shadow claws had seized any wing movement.
"There! I see him," Titus pointed out around the middle.
Zack and Hana looked around the location Titus had pointed to
"I see him!" Zack yelled in excitement, which soon turned into worry.
Hana was able to finally locate him. As she illuminated him with her semblance, they saw that he was surrounded by more shadows than they had seen him manipulate. He motioned his hands as if he was forcefully opening an elevator door. The shadow claws grabbing the Nevermore's wings were now being separated forcefully from it. The joint where the wings met the body started tearing and blood was now leaking. The Nevermore's blood-curdling screeches could be heard all around the arena and probably outside of it. Finally, the wings were violently detached, earning more screeches from the Nevermore. Geist opened a portal behind him slightly bigger than the Nevermore and the air started being sucked, like his earlier fighting move against Penny. It was only a matter of time before Geist released the air onto the wingless Nevermore. Once enough air had been sucked, Geist rapidly swings his arms in the air, and a massive gust of wind was shot at it ludicrously fast. Slicing the Nevermore right down the middle. Its two body sections fell lifelessly onto the floor, disintegrating soon after.
