Third Person POV
A grey-haired boy wearing black and grey named Mercury and a mint green-haired girl named Emerald had just come out of a book store named "Tukson's Book Trade" after cleaning up some unfinished business with the said book store owner. The girl stretches her arms overhead and the boy is seen carrying a comic.
"What's with that?" Emerald asks the boy.
"Eh, I like the pictures," Mercury answers and slams the comic shut.
"Took you guys long enough," A shadowy figure of a teenage boy could be seen leaning on the farthest side of the wall under the store's shadow.
"What are you doing here, Luke?" The mint-haired girl asks the shadow, who phases through the shadow and stands right in front of the two kids.
"I already finished my mission and the firewoman asked me to check on you two," The guy named Luke stated still in the shadows.
"Aren't you fifteen?" The Mercury asked the kid, who didn't seem to enjoy being called a kid.
"I'm double the man you are," He said looking at Mercury's legs and he glares at him. "but there's a reason Cinder trusted me with my mission and looking over you," Luke turns around.
"What was your mission anyway?" Emerald asked mockingly.
"I was sent to scout Beacon Academy," Luke explained.
"And?" Mercury asked annoyed. "What did you find?"
"A familiar face... Ajax Ghost" The boy came out of the shadow and turned around. He had light brown hair and brownish-green eyes. He was wearing a mask similar to that of Ajax's but the major difference is that it had a bright smile on it. He had a chest plate on. A belt with protection on his legs and his arms. Different shades of purple and black were present on it.
"Oh yeah, that guy!" Mercury responded sarcastically. "I don't know who that is."
"One of our targets. His father left a lot to be filled by someone and we have taken the responsibility of that," The kid crossed his arms.
"I remember seeing the accident on the news," Emerald said. "And how do you know that anyway?" Emerald asked with curiosity.
"Well..." The kid smiled confidently. "I am his brother, after all."
Ajax POV
New semester. I still hate school. I'm only here to train and perhaps some friends. If it weren't for Ozwank I wouldn't be here.
"You forgot to mention Weiss."
Shut up, Jester. I forgot you could hear what I think... Do I even get some privacy for myself?
"You do, only when I decide I don't want to listen to you. So in reality, no."
Anyways... It was lunchtime. Teams RWBY, JNPR, and my team were eating at the cafeteria, nothing abnormal was happening. Just some friendly chattering and no wars. My team was sitting with Team RWBY and I was sitting next to Weiss. You see, our relationship has improved. She doesn't hate me anymore and she tolerates me more than anyone, from what I've seen, at least.
We were sitting in silence. I was drinking my grape juice, Weiss was drinking coffee (I think), Hana and Blake were looking at their notes, Zack was obliterating some bread, Titus was looking at his scroll and Yang was doing nothing.
"Whatcha doing?" Yang slid next to Blake, startling her.
"Nothing," Blake closes her book. "Just going over some notes from last semester."
