Ajax POV

"Fucking Ozwank had to go and announce to everyone..." I said while strolling in circles through the academy's garden at midnight.

"Announce what, exactly?" Jester said leaning on a bench, resting.

"What do you mean 'what exactly'?! He told everyone my name! Mind you, I've been trying to hide!"

"Don't you think you're overthinking it?"

"No, I'm not! Don't you think that being the son of Shade Ghost is enough to trigger red flags?"

"You may be his son, but you're Ajax. You don't have to live under your father's shadows," Jester said, leaving me speechless. I had nothing else to say.

He was right though. I have implanted in my brain that I am always a target to others for what my father has done. Even though I have part of his semblance and style, I can't help but sense him everywhere I go and what he did. I feel guilty as if what he did was my fault.

"Ugh, I hate it when you're right," I said annoyed and Jester's eyes indicated a cocky smile grew on his face. "I'm tired from this shit, I'm going to sleep..."

Jester's physical form dissipated and went into my body as I walked away. I couldn't help but notice the shining shattered moon lighting up the surface of Remnant. If I'm being honest, the moon soothes me. In its presence, shadows are sharper, giving me more strength.

I go inside the academy and head to our dorm. I arrive and open the door slowly to not make any sound, I don't want to wake up my newly acquired teammates. Unlike me, they do need sleep. I get inside and softly close the door. I tip-toed my way through the room and look over to my teammates' beds and look at them. I couldn't help but smile, knowing that they accepted me as who I was and not whose son I am.

I change into the pajamas that Zack lent me for the night and lay on the furthermost bed to the right, next to Hana's. I have to admit, these pajamas are great.

I close my eyes and wait to fall asleep.

Tomorrow I know I'll have to do a lot of explaining to them and I'm not looking forward to it, but I can't keep running away from my problems...

Third Person POV

"Who's going to wake him up...?" Hana asked softly to not wake Ajax herself.

"I am certainly not doing it. This seems to be Zack's kind of labor," Titus suggested pointing at Zack.

"Wha-. Why me?!" Zack screamed but whispered at the same time.

"You're the most prone to doing it anyways with your hyperactivity," Titus said.

"Plus, if he swings at you, you can dodge it thanks to your semblance!" Hana explained.

"I'm not going to hit anyone..." Ajax said with his groggy morning voice.

There was a moment of silence between everyone.

"But what if you-...?" Hana tried to say but was interrupted.

"I'm not. I am awake no thanks to your chattery," Ajax said sitting down. "You guys need to work on your discretion,"

"We are not masters of sneaking around, unlike you! Mr. Edgy Shadowy Man!" Zack said mockingly.

"Har Har... Zack. Har Har" Ajax said. He got up and stretched until he noticed that everyone was looking at him. "Now what?"

"It's just weird seeing you in a blue pajama and not in your usual black and grey..." Hana said sheepishly.

"You can thank Zack for that. I'm going to buy my pajamas someday..." Ajax said and grabbed his uniform. "What time is it?"
