Ajax POV.
"Wakey wakey! Time for the Jaded Ghost to attend his errands." I felt a nudge on my right shoulder, successfully waking me up.
I groggily opened my eyes and looked over to the nudging. I see a blurry image of a shadowy man in a suit with a top hat. Jester.
"First of all, don't call me that. Second, I didn't know it was my Guardian's job to wake me up," I said annoyed.
"Well... Seeing as you're going to be late for your first day at Beacon I thought that maybe you could use some help. Why are you even sleeping anyways? You don't need sleep since you unlocked your semblance..." Jester said mockingly.
"I enjoy sleeping, while I don't need it, it's a good way to skip time. If you know what I mean," I said still tired.
I looked at my clock and I indeed had overslept, not by much though, but enough for me to be in a hurry. I groan and get up. Today was my first day at Beacon and the initiation was supposed to be the next day. I put on my normal outfit which just consisted of a red, black, and white hoodie and some black jeans. I went into the bathroom to do my daily routine and summoned a shadow.
"Go and make me some cereal for breakfast," I said to the shadow and it nodded and went to the kitchen.
After finishing my routine, I went to the kitchen and found a bowl with some cereal in it with some milk. I was eating it peacefully until Jester came in...
"You ready kiddo?" Jester asked, slightly leaning on the kitchen door.
"Yeah, I guess..." I said and introduced the spoon into my mouth. Man, this cereal never gets old.
"Do you plan on making friends after what happened?" Jester asked with concern in his voice.
"You, more than anyone, know that I enjoy being alone. And to answer your question, maybe. Perhaps just one or two..." I clarified.
Friends? I don't want to feel the same as I did some years ago if I lose them... Plus, I kinda like my space and loneliness. Wow, that sounds kinda depressing...
"What about a girlfriend?" He said out of nowhere, making me spit some milk.
"Too much commitment and responsibility. That would be even worse than losing a friend... It's hard for me to like someone anyways," I explained while cleaning some milk off of my chin. Jester just chuckled and dissipated into me.
Time you left.
I stood up and left the house.
I have been living alone. My mother passed away due to illness and my father... Well... Let's just say he's also dead but for good. And my brother felt it was necessary to leave the household at an early age, younger than me even. Leaving alone became my norm.
I took a Bullhead to the station and got inside the Beacon transport thing with other soon-to-become students, not before summoning my battle outfit over my normal clothes of course and pulling up my hood without the mask. It seems that it will be a long ride from here to Beacon, might as well get some shuteye and skip time. And so I closed my eyes sat on the floor and leaned onto a wall.
I was woken up by some girls talking a little bit too high for my comfort.
"Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" A female voice said.
I slightly opened my eyes annoyed to see who was causing the ruckus and saw a blonde girl smiling and hugging a shorter girl with black hair with red ends and in a red cape who seemed very embarrassed. I even heard her mutter something like "Pleash shtop...".
