Third Person POV

"Time is running out, Cindy," Luke kept careful watch on the screen. Matches had resumed and new contestants were about to be chosen.

"Perfect," Cinder turns to Emerald. "Everything is going according to plan. Emerald, watch this video and study it."

She hands mercury's Scroll to her and a video seemed to be paused on the screen.

"What is this?" Emerald pressed the play button, confused by the video she was tasked with watching.

The screen displayed a news video taken by someone in a fiery village in a panic. Houses were on fire and blood-curdling screams could be heard by bystanders trying to hide or run from something or someone.  The person filming the video seemed to be hiding under a fallen building's rubble. The video was shaky and the heavy breathing was very notorious. A shadow could be seen zooming across for a second. The person tried to film the direction where the shadow was going, but there was no one there. In an instant, a shadow wielding a scythe towered above him. Pitch black covered the shadow's body, except for the red menacing glowing eyes. The reaper before him uncovers himself from its shadows and what appeared to be a monster fused with his armor gear was revealed. On his mask, a white smile with stretching teeth forms as the man inclined the camera. The monster backs out and swiftly slashes the person holding the camera. Right after the camera falls to the floor, the man covers himself with shadows and the feed goes black.

"Our target's father," Cinder maliciously smiles as she selects Geist and Penny's foto for the next match.

A shadow in GHZT's dorm room becomes opaque and twirls around. Moments later Ajax and Weiss come out of it. Both students release their holds of each other's hands. Ajax flicks the light switch so that Weiss could see and hastily makes his way to his bed and plops onto it without hesitation. Mentally exhausted from the past series of events, his brain feels as if it's going to shut down any moment.

Ajax closes his eyes. "Weiss."

"Yes?"

"What time is it?"

She takes out her Scroll and turns it on.

"It's six forty."

Ajax sighs subtly. "Good. Why don't we rest a bit?"

Weiss thinks about it for a moment. It could never hurt to rest before a match, right? After all, they both had just seen stuff not easy for the eyes or mind.

"Sure."

She then approaches the bed's footing where Ajax lay.

"Can you please rest on the pillows?" Weiss annoyingly orders. "That's what they're for..."

He pouts. "But this is comfy..."

Weiss places her arms in akimbo and pouts even harder.

"Okay okay..." Ajax crawls up the bed and rests his head on the pillows. "Is this better?"

"Yes," She then takes off her shoes and also crawls up the bed. "It was for you to be comfortable."

She then goes on top of him, lays on his body, and rests her head sideways on his chest, something Ajax didn't have in mind at all. Both heartbeats could be felt by the other along with their body heat. They stayed like this for some minutes. Minutes that felt like hours. Weiss then lifts her head and looks at Ajax's eyes attentively. Both had locked their sight onto each other. There was a slight distance between their faces, something that Weiss wasn't fond of, so she raised herself and locked her lips onto his. Ajax held her face softly and carefully as he returned the gesture.
