Weeks later, and it was as if nothing had ever happened.

It was a snowy day, but it wasn't too cold or windy. Luna woke up early to get ready for work at Mr. Delmar's. She got out of bed tiredly, stepping in front of her mirror, staring down at her broken moon necklace.

She smiled for a moment, then changed out of her pajamas. She walked to work. She wore a light jacket with a warm hat. She stopped by the coffee shop where MJ worked.

When MJ spotted Luna and waved. "Hey, you're up early." MJ noted.

"Yeah, I've got work in an hour." Luna chuckled while MJ made her the usual coffee that she would order.

"Bummer." MJ replied.

"It's alright." Luna shrugged. "You know, I have a feeling today's gonna be good." The blonde smiled.

"Yeah?" MJ set the coffee cup in front of her friend, then leant forward on the counter.

"Yeah. I mean, I know the whole 'expect disappointment and you'll never be disappointed thing', but, I feel good." Luna added.

MJ smiled. "Hey, well, we can't both be miserable all the time. One of us has gotta have a positive attitude, right?"

"Sure thing." Luna chuckled, taking a sip from her coffee.

After talking to MJ for a little more, Luna walked the rest of the way to Mr. Delmar's, and set up to work. It was a quiet morning for the most part. Mr. Delmar wasn't in the shop that day either, so it was just Luna and Murph.

She was waiting for Ned to show up, who usually came to visit her at work later on in the day.

Just as another customer came in, Ned did as well. When Luna noticed, she smiled and waved at Ned, who happily made his way to her. "One second." Luna spoke to Ned, then turned to the customer who had come in. He was a boy who appeared around her age and was very pale.

"Can I help you?" She asked.

"I--Um..." He slowly stepped forward to the counter. "My name's Peter Parker." He introduced himself. He held a piece of paper in his hand. Luna eyed him questionably.

"And...I---" He paused. "Would like...a number five..." He trailed off. "And could you--"

"Smush it down real flat?" Luna finished, raising her eyebrows. Peter squinted his eyes. "How did you know that?" He had a hopeful gleam in his eyes.

Luna shrugged. "Had a feeling. You seem like the type."

"Oh..." He sighed. "Thank...you..?" He nodded slowly.

"No problem, Peter Parker." Luna awkwardly made her way to the ingredients section to make the sandwich, but quickly grabbed a pack of gummy bears, handing it to Ned on the side.

"Gummy bears for my fellow engineer." She smiled.

"Oh--Wait what?" Ned furrowed his eyebrows.

"MIT's mascot...it's an engineer." Luna explained.

"Oh, my God...I probably should have known that." Ned sighed. "Look at you with the school spirit!" He exclaimed.

"Tell anybody, I will kill you." Luna replied, before going back to make Peter's sandwich.

When she was finished, she returned to face the boy. "Peter Parker." She held the wrapped sandwich out to him. He seemed to be distracted, staring at Ned with a smile. "Peter Parker." She repeated, causing him to turn towards her.

"Your...sandwich."

"Right. Thank you." He took the sandwich from her hands. "Um...are you excited for MIT?" He inquired. She furrowed her eyebrows, confused as to how he knew, but then looked back at Ned.

"Oh--Right, yeah. Uh...yeah, actually. I'm really nervous, though. Feels like I'm gonna die sometimes, but I just tell my brother, who's going with me, 'Hey, if we die--"

"At least we're dying together, right?" Peter finished with a smile. Luna paused, eyeing the boy questionably. "Uh...yeah." She nodded. "Right." She pressed her lips together awkwardly. Peter smiled.

The two awkwardly stared at each other for a moment. Luna looked off to the side to avoid eye contact. She fiddled with the necklace around her neck, which Peter took notice of.

"I like your necklace. Matches the birthmark on your cheek." He commented.

"Oh, thanks." Luna placed her hand on top of her birthmark, then smiled politely. "The necklace is broken, though. It doesn't really look like a moon anymore so it doesn't really...match with the birthmark." Luna trailed off, confused as to how Peter knew it was originally a moon.

"Where'd you get it?" Peter wondered, referring to the necklace.

"I, uh...actually don't really remember." She chuckled. "I know it was on my trip to Europe for school last year, but that's really all I know."

"Oh." Peter sighed.

"Uh, by the way, that sandwich is ten dollars." Luna stated.

"Oh--right." Peter quickly reached in his pocket to pull out the money. He paused with furrowed eyebrows. "Wait--isn't it five dollars?" He looked back up at Luna.

"Yeah, I was just messing with you." Luna smiled lightly. Peter nodded with a slight chuckle, then reached into his pocket again.  While he did, Luna tied her hair back, revealing the band aid she had on her head. She put his money in the register, then looked up, noticing that he was staring at the band aid.

"You okay?" He inquired, pointing at the spot where her cut is.

"It doesn't really hurt anymore." Luna replied.

Murph made his way over to Peter on the counter, and laid down just in front of him, leaning on him.

"Cat seems to like you." Luna commented. "He usually runs away from strangers."

Peter smiled down at the cat. Luna looked back down at the register, then back to Peter, waiting for him to either leave or say something.

"Is there...anything else?" She wondered. Peter didn't respond for a moment. He smiled, then shook his head. "No." He said in a whisper.

He put the paper that he had in his hand back inside his pocket. "Thank you."

"No problem." Luna pursed her lips. Peter looked to her one last time, then back at Ned, before leaving. "I'll see you around."

Luna watched him leave in confusion. She turned to Ned, though he hadn't noticed the conversation happen.

Later that day, Luna put on her Lunar Eclipse suit and went to the rooftop where she would usually go to escape and sit silently. Suddenly, she heard someone else arrive behind her, someone she hadn't seen for a while.

Spider-Man.

AN:

I am devastated to have finished this right now I don't even wanna accept it guys. I am so sorry. I did this in like two days which is crazy and now I'm gonna have to wait at least two years before I can add onto this book with Spider-Man 4 (which I have heard that Marvel wants to do it)

but thank you all so much for the support for this book really. I loved continuing it after a year of having completed it earlier. I loved No Way Home and I loved writing these latest few chapters. Thank you so much for all your comments. I love reading them.
